Leta made Maximus run as fast as he could. The only thing on her mind was saving her father, Maurice, and Belle from the cruel hands of the villagers. They never understood the quartet, seeing them as odd, though Leta's father was seen as high society. Back in the village, the carriage had arrived to take Belle, Maurice, and Phillip away. Père Robert had tried to protest for the three who were being taken away. He believed, if anything, Phillip needed to be treated. It was hard enough that he had lost his daughter, but another thing that no one believed where she actually was "This man is weak! Please! He needs a hospital! Not an asylum!" Père
Robert pleaded. The three were thrown into the cell in the back. Gaston approached the them "Have you ever seen the inside of a madhouse?! Any of you?! None of you will last a week" Gaston turned to Phillip "Just give me
your daughter's hand and then I'll set you all free" Belle and Maurice looked to Phillip "Never" He simply stated.
Anger covered Gaston's face as he slammed the doors shut and locked
it. He stared right into Phillip's eyes "Take them away!" Leta heard her father's name, pushing for Maximus to go faster. Once she arrived in the village, she pulled Maximus to a halt in front of the dark horses "Stop!" She yelled, hopping off Maximus and pulling the mirror out. She ran to the back of the carriage "Papa, Belle, Maurice" "Oh, my dearest Leta. We thought we'd lost you" Phillip nearly cried, seeing his daughter "Let them out. They didn't do anything wrong" Leta told the man "We can't do that, Miss, but we'll take very good care of them" The man told her "My father's not crazy. None of them are" Leta turned and looked to Gaston "Gaston, you know" "You know how loyal I am to your family, but your father and his friends have been making some unbelievable claims" Gaston told her "I-it's true, Leta" Monsieur Jean made his way through the crowd "He's been raving about a beast in a castle"The rest of the townspeople chuckled lowly. Leta became angry "I've just come from the castle and there is a
beast!" Gaston laughed at her "You'll say anything to set them free. Your word is hardly proof" Leta huffed "You want proof?" She looked to the mirror "Show me the beast" Leta say the face of Theseus and turned it to show the rest of the villagers. They all gasped in horror. She moved the mirror around and the gasps began to get increasingly exaggerated. Leta was annoyed by this,
not knowing why they didn't see what she saw "There's your proof" She spat.
Gaston pulled the mirror from Leta's clutch "This is sorcery" He gave Leta a disgusted look "Look at this beast! Look at his fangs! His claws!" This crowd stepped back in horror as Gaston held out the mirror. Leta decided to put her foot forth "Why are you all so afraid?! He's gentle, kind. If only you knew that he is our king. You all may forget but..." Gaston cut her off "The monster has her under his spell! If I didn't know better, I'd say she even cared for him!" Leta gave a slight laugh "You know what, Gaston. You're actually quite right. I do care for him"She heard gasps, but continued "And if
anything, he's not the monster Gaston, you are!" "I've heard of the affects of dark magic, but I've never before seen it with my own eyes! This is a threat to our very existence!" Gaston preached to the crowd. All agreed with him except Père Robert and LeFou "We can't have her running off to warn the beast. Lock her up too" "No!" Leta screamed as the villagers grabbed her and threw her into
the cell "You won't get away with this, Gaston!" Phillip grabbed a hold of his daughter as she was thrown in. Belle came over and hugged her friend, who she hadn't seen in a long time. Leta began crying and whispered "I'm so sorry. This is all my fault" Maurice came over and the three of them held on tightly to Leta. Outside of the cell, LeFou made his way closer to Gaston "Gaston, with all due respect..." Gaston angrily turned around "Do you want to be next?" Everyone was silent "Fetch my horse" He then hopped on the back of the carriage and turned to the crowd "Stand guard! Don't let them escape! This creature will curse us all if we don't stop him!" The crowd agreed "Well I
say we kill the beast!" The crowd began to rally, ready to go into battle.
"We're not safe until he's dead"
"He'll come stalking us at night"
"Set to sacrifice our children to his monstrous appetite"
"He'll wreak havoc on our village if we let him wander free"
"So it's time to take some action, boys. It's time to follow me"
Gaston took the torch and lit a wagon on fire.
"Through the mist, through the wood, through the darkness and the shadows. It's a nightmare, but it's one exciting ride"
The villagers lit their torches and gathered pitchforks.
"Say a prayer, then we're there. At the drawbridge of a castle. And there's something truly terrible inside. It's a beast. He's got fangs, razor sharp ones. Massive paws, killer claws for the feast. Hear him roar, see him foam. But we're not coming home til he's dead. Good and dead. Kill the beast!"
Gaston mounted his horse. He, LeFou, and the villagers began riding out
of town.
"Light your torch, mount your horse"
"Screw your courage to the sticking plate"
"We're counting on Gaston to lead the way"
"Call it War, call it threat. You can bet they all will follow. For in times like
this they'll do just as I say"
"There's a beast running wild. There's no question, But I fear the wrong
monster's released"
"Sally forth, tally ho. Grab your sword, grab your bow. Praise the Lord,
and here we go"
The stopped and Gaston held out the mirror "Show me the castle" In the castle, the servants stood around, not knowing what to do now that Leta was gone "At least he had finally learned to love" Lumiere spoke as he danced
with Plumette "A lot of good that does us if she doesn't love him in return"Cogsworth argued "No. This is the first time I've had any real hope she would"Mrs. Potts countered "She may not love him, but she cares for him. just know it"Plumette tried to reason. The sound of a horse caught Chip's attention "Did you hear that, mama?! Is it her?! Is she coming back?!" All the servants followed behind and made their way to the window "Could it be?" Lumière asked aloud "See, I told you!" Plumette exclaimed. Lumiere tried to melt away some of the frost on the window "Sacr bleu! Invaders!" "Ruffians!" Mrs. Potts snarled as all of them, except Cogsworth, rushed out "Well, there you go. So much for true love" Cogsworth tone fell into despair. He then followed after them all "Man the barricades! And hold fast!" Maestro Cadenza entered the room "Move aside!" He made his way to the door and went into position.
"Hearts ablaze, banners high. We go marching into battle. Unafraid, although the danger's just increased"
"Raise the flag, sing the song. Here we come, we're fifty strong. And fifty'Frenchmen can't be wrong. Let's kill the beast!"
The villagers began using battering rams to get through the door and had some success. Cogsworth saw that they couldn't hold them off, so he took it upon himself to go to the master. Back in the village, Leta had composed herself. She was now calculating how she was going to get herself, her father, Belle, and Maurice out of the cell "I have to warn the beast" She spoke "Warn him? How did you get away from him?" Her father asked. Leta knelt down in front of her father and smiled "He let me go,'papa. He sent me back to you" She looked to Maurice and Belle "All of you" Belle raised her eyebrow at her friend "I don't understand" Leta laughed at her friend "Remember that castle l used to tell you about?" "The one from your dreams?" Belle asked
"Yes. It's true, all of it. The castle, the people" Leta paused "The Prince" Leta them pulled out Rosetta's rattle and held it out to her father. Phillip was startled, yet comforted by seeing the item "Where did you..." "He took me there. I remember what happened to Ella, Rose, and mama" Leta told her father "Then you know why I had to leave her there. Why I had to give up your sisters. I had to protect you. I tried to protect all of you, but I wasn't man
enough. I lost your mother and I didn't know how to take care of three young girls. I hope you're..." Leta stopped him and wiped the tears from his eyes "I understand. Some day we will find them. You're a selfless man, papa. Will you continue being a selfless man and help me now?" "It's dangerous" Her father told her "Yes. Yes it is" Leta smiled "I could try to pick the lock"Belle offered and Leta smiled at her.
Maurice added into the conversation
"After all it's only gears and springs. We need something long and sharp" Leta pulled one of the pins out of her hair and handed it to Belle "Perfect" Belle smiled. Back at the castle, Cogsworth had tirelessly walked up the stairs to find the master. Once he finally reached the top, he was tired but continue to
move forward "Oh, excuse me Master. I'm so sorry to disturb you..." "She's not coming back" Leta spoke lowly. Cogsworth began to say something, but stopped "No. They're breaking
down the doors!" "It doesn't matter now. Just let them come" Theseus  continued looking out into the distance.
"Kill the beast! Kill the beast!"
"This isn't working!" Mrs. Potts panicked "I know what to do" Lumière stated.
"Kill the beast! Kill the beast! Kill the beast!"
The doors were opened, the lights were out, and the villagers all fell in.
