Lana's POV:

"Yeah, but I'll be home 'fore you know it, La-la! I'm just doin' some important things at the studio," Jon remarked nervously. "How's Magnolia? Is she feeling better?"

"Uh, she's doing okay! She's still running a fever, but it's not as high as it was when you had left," I answered, carefully cradling Mags in my free arm while my other arm and hand were being used to hold the phone up to my ear.

We've been dealing with a sick 10-month old which is pretty rough. She caught a summer cold at some point, so it's been pretty hectic having to keep on top of her medicine, naps, meals, and hydration. Mags has been feeling better as the days pass, however.

"Say hey to Da-da, Maggie! Tell him that you miss him and want him to return as soon as possible!" I joked with the sweet little one.

She obviously didn't say the words, but she did giggle- that counts for something, right?!

"Lana, I'm tryin'! Jody needed me to re-record some kind of vocals on a song since it didn't sound perfect like it usually does, so we're in the midst of fixing that issue!" Jon replied rather quickly.

He's been so paranoid about me asking how work is going and everything the past week it seems like! Maybe it's because he's still on edge about his ex-girlfriend coming in and ruining our peaceful dinner? It's so hard to tell because he's way too good at bottling up his feelings- which isn't a good thing!

There was a lot of background noises on the other end of the line and we soon had to get off the call. We said our goodbyes and I love yous to one another and the call soon came to a halt.

That left me and Magnolia to ourselves. There wasn't much we really could do since she was sick, so we were watching Moana once again! It's such an amazing movie and she seems to enjoy it a bunch, so that makes me super happy! At least something as simple as a movie is able to make her smile and giggle throughout her sickness.

In the next day or two, she should be feeling better from the bug she caught. I've been making sure to keep extra good close tabs on her just in case something were to go south! Thankfully, nothing has went south for her such as breathing issues, throwing up, or anything of that nature since that would be a huge call of concern.

I rewound Moana once more and Mags' eyes were instantly glued onto the tv screen! It was to the point that if anything else was going on in the house, she wouldn't be phased by it not one bit, haha.

Thank goodness for the PTO! If it weren't for that, then poor Maggie Mae would have to be staying over at her grandparents' house and I'm sure she wouldn't want to be traveling so much between Jon's parents' house and then ours. I know it'd be stressful for the little one. Telling the bakery that a sick baby was involved, they were quick to let me have some time off to tend to Mags. That was the sweetest gesture a job has ever done for me! Not like I've worked at too many jobs, but still, it was really nice of them to be so understanding.

There was not a single thing to do in the house so I decided to take a few selfies to show Madison, my friend from Nebraska named Shelby, and of course, Jon! Even though we may have looked rough, not many can resist a few baby selfies!

The first person that got to see it was Jon, since this is his baby after all! He might not see it right away, but the pictures will be there for him to see later! Perhaps that might be what makes him feel better after the stressful month we've had.
