Midoriya found Shoto in his room, the door locked.
"Shoto, open the door. I can hear your heavy and panicked breathing from here. Let me in so I can help you," Izuku said. It took a few seconds, but then the door unlocked and opened.
Izuku entered the room and slowly sat down next to his boyfriend, wrapping his arms around him carefully as Shoto cried into his shoulder.
"It's like I saw Touya all over again," Shoto said shakily between sobs.
"Oh, Shoto, I'm so sorry. I'm sure Hato didn't want to scare you like that."
After a few minutes of hugging and comforting whispers from his boyfriend, Shoto was able to calm down.
"I'm sorry for running off like that. It was just too much," Shoto sniffled.
"It's okay. Are you feeling better now?" Izuku asked. Shoto nodded, readjusting to lean against his boyfriend comfortably.
"You know, I've had this theory for a while now..."
"Shoto."
"I've connected the dots!"
"You didn't connect anything!"
"I've connected them! It makes so much more sense after seeing Hato and his quirk. His white hair and the blue flames. It looks so much like Touya-nii. I never really believed that he died. It's like a feeling in my chest that's telling me he's still out there, somewhere," Shoto explained as Izuku listened. "What if Touya is still alive and Hato is his son? But Hato also looks and acts a lot like the Pro Hero Hawks... Izuku, what if Hato is Hawks' son with my brother Touya?"
"Then you'd be right, Uncle," a new voice said, and the couple looked to the doorway where Hato now stood.
"Hato... you mean Touya-nii is-"
"Alive? Yeah, I can't tell you where, though. It's already messed up enough that you found out now," Hato sighed tiredly.
"And Hawks is your-"
"My mom, yes," Hato nodded as he sat down across from his uncles. "Just please don't tell anyone," he pleaded.
Shoto nodded. "I promise I won't tell anyone. I'll figure it out soon anyways, right?"
Hato nodded back. "Yeah, something big will happen soon, and then you'll know where my dad is."
Shoto gave a small smile in response. "Oi, you touchy-feely bastards!" Another new voice shouted from the doorway.
"Yes, Kacchan, what do you want?" Midoriya asked calmly.
"All Might wants to talk to you and me. The others are starting to prepare dinner," Bakugou explained.
Midoriya nodded and got up, giving Shoto one last kiss before leaving with Bakugou.
"Well, let's go see if they need help with dinner," Hato said, pulling his very red uncle with him.
Once downstairs, they joined the others in preparing dinner. After what felt like forever to Kirishima and Shoto, Midoriya and Bakugou finally returned.
"What were you doing? You're late, House Arrest Boys!" Sero complained.
"If you don't hurry up and help, you won't get any meat," Kaminari added, pointing at the tray of meat he was carrying.
"I'll be right there!" Midoriya said, speeding off.
"You can't take away my meat! Are you crazy?!" Bakugou growled angrily.
"He's like a bad guy," Kaminari sighed.
"If you don't like it, then help!" Kirishima chimed in.
"Yeah, what Papa said, Dad!" Kazumi grinned, earning a glare from her father.
"We can put whatever we want in it? What a wonderful dish!" Momo exclaimed while holding a bag of tea leaves.
"You can't put tea leaves in, though!" Ochako interjected.
"Who cut the chives?!" Bakugou's voice echoed angrily through the room.
"It was me," Todoroki admitted.
"Your sister would cry if she saw this!" Bakugou's tone was sharp.
"Uncle Kachaan is right, Dad," Itsuki chimed in, trying to maintain a serious expression despite the urge to laugh.
"Oh."
"What did you just call me?!"
"Uncle Kachaan, why don't you just cut the chives if you don't like how Dad did it?" Shosuke suggested, earning a threatening glare from Bakugou.
"Don't tell me what to do, you Deku 2.0!" Bakugou grumbled as he started cutting the chives. "Damn it!"
"You're good at this," Shoto remarked, surprised.
"You're just too bad at it! Die!" Bakugou retorted.
As Class 1-A continued to chatter, the preparations for the hot pot party progressed. Finally, everything was ready.
"Now, for the Work Study Exchange and starting the term off with a bang Hot Pot Party—let's start!" Iida announced, prompting cheers from everyone.
"Hot pot's great on cold days!" Kirishima commented, his eyes tearing up with emotion. His daughter nodded in agreement.
"When it warms up again, we'll be second years," Jirou observed.
"Time flies, huh?" Tsuyu remarked.
"It was so chaotic," Ochako reminisced.
"We'll have underclassmen!" Mina realized.
"But hero course students can't join clubs, so we won't really interact with them," Sato added.
Amidst the laughter and conversation, the atmosphere was warm and lively, marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of another for Class 1-A.
Suddenly, a sob cuts through the chatter, causing Itsuki to look at her twin worriedly. "Shosuke, what's wrong? Why are you crying?"
"I just—" Shosuke sniffles, struggling to compose himself. "I miss our parents."
His words weigh heavily on the other children, casting a somber mood over the room.
"I miss them too," Hikki admits softly, her voice filled with emotion. One by one, the children gather together, seeking comfort in each other's embrace.
Hato sighs, his wings enveloping them protectively. "I'm sure we'll be home soon."
Class 1-A looks at the time travelers with sympathy, understanding the pain of longing for home.
"I know we're not really your parents yet," Midoriya begins, his voice gentle as he addresses the children.
"But we'll try our damn best to make you feel comfortable here until you can go back home!" Bakugou interjects, his tone surprisingly heartfelt. Kirishima walks over to Kazumi, wiping away her tears with a tender touch.
"Thanks, Dad/Papa/Uncle," the children respond, their gratitude evident in their smiles despite the lingering sadness.
