Our Promise ~ 2yeon

It was a Sunday and I had nothing much to do so I slept until 10 am. I stayed in bed until my stomach began to growl. It was cold but I wanted food so I grabbed my dressing gown and made my way to the kitchen.

Irene left a note on the table for me. We didn't text each other if it wasn't urgent or important so we'd instead leave notes at the door or on the table.

Hey Nayeon,

I've gone out with my friends for the day and I won't be home until after dinner so don't bother cooking for me. There's pancake batter in the fridge if you want it and I hope you have a good day. Invite whoever over you want (ik you have a crush ;)) just don't make a mess.

I went into the fridge and made some pancakes. I sat at the table with my pancakes and my phone when I finally decided to reply to my messages from overnight.

After I'd replied to the messages, I checked instagram and YouTube. I was pretty bored so I washed up my plate and ran to the sofa to watch a drama.

The morning passed and at around 2 pm I began to get hungry again. I ate the leftover spaghetti from the night before as I watched YouTube on my phone.

The day was pretty boring and I didn't have much to do so I decided to study for my upcoming exam.

I was at my desk in my room when Jeongyeon called me.

"Hey Nayeon!" She said as I picked up the phone.

"Hi Jeongyeon!" I replied

"I just called because I was bored and wanted to talk to someone, I hope you don't mind"

"Nah it's ok. I was bored too."

We spoke for hours and hours. I didn't hear Irene walk through the door or peak her head around my door until she accidentally elbowed the doorframe.

"Irene! I didn't realise you were home already..." I said, slowly trailing off.

"Ahhh I just got home. I'll let you carry on with whatever you're doing." And she left the room.

Jeongyeon started laughing at us and ended up with hiccups which made her laugh even more. Her laugh was infectious and I couldn't help but start laughing too.

It was around 7pm when we hung up and I felt quite happy afterwards. I carried on studying for 2 or so hours until I began to get tired.

"Irene I'm gonna go to bed soon I have school in the morning" I said to her as I walked to the bathroom.

"Ok sleep well" she replied.

I set my alarm for 6:30 and by 9:45 I was in bed.

I nearly missed my bus but I ended up catching it just before the doors closed. After about 2 stops, Sana got on and stood next to me.

"How's it going with Dahyun?" I asked her.

"It's going well" she muttered, blushing and smiling. "What about you and Jeognyeon?"

"Aaa it's good." I replied. It was now my turn to blush and get shy. We spoke about our weekend until we got off and took it in turns to get shy.

We walked into campus together and met up with Jihyo at the cafeteria. I grabbed an orange juice and went off to my first class.

I only had classes in the morning so I went to Jihyo's for lunch with Sana and Momo before I had a photoshoot.

At 1:30, I rushed off to my rented studio for the photoshoot at 2:15. There was a young couple and their 3 year old daughter. The photoshoot was for the daughters birthday.

She was very sweet and cooperative. The photos were done in 45 minutes and I started to transfer them to my laptop.

After a while, I packed up and went home. I walked through my front door and heard a familiar voice- one that didn't belong to Irene.

"Nayeon your friend is here" Irene shouted at me when I walked in.

"Hey Nayeon!" Jeognyeon said to me. Thags who it was. How sweet. She came to surprise me.

"I bought you something!" She said to me, eager for me to open it. It was a black box with a ribbon wrapped around in a bow. I was curious as to what was inside so I quickly opened it, trying not to ruin the ribbon.

"Aww Jeongie you didn't have to do this" I said, touched at the sweet gesture and thoughtful gift.

It was a jewellery set with a necklace, bracelet and earrings. They were silver with sapphires - my birthstone. I immediately put them on and hugged Jeongyeon.

She was honestly the sweetest person I had ever met. I was glad I found her in her cafe.
