chapter fourteen

Jacqui:

Sierra came in the hotel after a year. It is great to see her and I'm glad she was doing okay..at least I thought she was.

"Excuse me?" Sierra says

"It was a crazy night. Don't you remember? You hanged out at the lobby the whole day and night, just staring blankly at the table." I tell her.

"Liar." she scoffs.

"I'm not lying, Sierra. Don't call me a liar. It's sadly the truth."

"I didn't call you a liar." she looks at her side. "You're hurting Ashton's feelings! Jacqui, What's wrong with you?"

"Nothing's wrong." I shake my head "I could call Michael for you."

I dial Michael immediately and look at Sierra who was smiling at her side again. What the hell is going on? Is she seeing things? How can Ashton be alive again?

"He'll be here in a few minutes. He's just near here." I sigh

"Great!" she grins.

Sierra:

"Hello Jacquline." I visted the hotel again. It's been a year since I've been here. They had a new look and it looked more decent. It was a four star hotel. I am proud of Jacqui.

I'm with Ashton. He told me he wanted to see the hotel again. We're starting over.

"Hi Jacqui." Ashton smiles

"Hi Sierra." Jacqui replies, smiling aswell.

"You didn't greet Ashton?" I furrow my eyebrows.

Jacquline and some staff both exchanged looks. It was as if I was crazy. I'm definitely not.

"Sierra, are you alright? It's been so long since I've seen you. How have you been? Where were you? Who were you with?" she asks

"I'm great! I live in an apartment now with Ashton. It was both of our dreams." I grin and Ashton does aswell.

"Sierra, Ashton's dead. It's been a year." she tells me and Ashton's eyes widens.

"Excuse me?" Ashton says

"Nothing's wrong." she shakes her head "I could call Michael for you."

"Oh yeah! I miss him!" Ashton tells me, beaming up.

"He'll be here in a few minutes. He's just near here." Jacqui sighs.

"Great!" Ashton grins.

"Sierra, how are you?" Michael smiles

"Great! Ashton and I are going to have a vacation." I reply and Jacqui looks at Michael with her eyes wide open.

"Where's Ashton?" Michael continues smiling.

"Beside me?" How can they not see?

"I can't see him." he says

"What do you mean you can't? He's right beside me!" i nearly yell.

"Don't mind them, Sierra. They're playing jokes." Ashton whispers

"We can't." they both tell me. I look at Ashton who is shaking his head.

"Ashton, Why can't they see you?"

"They're playing jokes on you. You're good friends. You haven't seen each other in a long time so they're playing jokes." Ashton explains

I nod, "Very funny guys.." I laugh and they both exchange looks.

"Sierra, we're serious. You need help."

"No!!" I yell, making everyone look at me. "I don't need help! I'm perfectly fine."

"Sierra, you're seeing things, that's not good." Jacqui sighs.

"Stop this!" I scream "It is not funny. This isn't pleasing. Ashton was so excited to see you guys and now you're treating him like this."

They remained silent for a moment but Jacqui came up with an idea.

"Why won't you and Ashton go on a trip to somewhere? We'll take you there!" she suggests

"Sierra..." Ashton mumbles

"Sure! That's a great idea." I grin and look at Ashton, "this would be perfect for us!"
