IZUMI'S POV

My father's face was contorted with rage and my brother was looking at Shizuka with disgust. "Who....do..you think you're talking to...?"My father muttered out in anger as he glared at Shizuka.

Shizuka raised her head higher and made a pathetic look directed towards my father.Her face darkened as she smirked with evil intent....Okay,she seems scarier than my father in this situation...

She said out,"And do you know who I am?Let me tell you."She walked closer to my father,tiptoed and then whispered into his ear.My father jerked away,completely appalled by her identity.He gaped at her completely unable to react.

"Y-you are...there is no way you are Ta-"My father stopped when Shizuka brought her finger to her mouth.He backed away and said,"That's why you're so bold huh.I guess it runs in the blood."

...What's going on?What is my father talking about?And just who is Shizuka?

"Come on Akihiro(the irritating brother)Let's go."And just like that,my dad walked away."W-wait.H-huh?Why are we...arghhhh forget it!"My brother gave up on trying to stop my father from walking away and followed him.

"What...just happened?"I said out unconsciously."Hm?Oh,I just told your dad a little something and yeah.But wow.Your 'family' is pretty messed up huh?Especially your dad...Who knew someone like you had such a bad background."Once again,Shizuka has just said something very rude,very bluntly.

I still do not understand but the pressure from my father is finally gone and I sank to the ground."Y-yeah...." I looked to the ground then said,"You know,you didn't have to do that for me...because overall it's kinda true... My father a elite national player,my brother,a prodigy.To them,no matter how hard I try,I'll never be good enough. No matter how hard I tried to beat my brother,I never could." I smiled pitifully at the ground waiting for a "That's true." reply from Shizuka...but it never came.

"So?Who cares about who your family is?Yeah sure your dad was a national player,your brother is an prodigy who doesn't need a single ounce of effort to win.But what does it have to do with you?And personally,I think that even though your brother is a pro at basketball, you're even better in your own way.Because you try the hardest in your family.So even if you do fail,after trying so hard,you might as well just try harder next time and not give up.Cuz' as long as you keep trying," Shizuka bent down, faced me,and without smiling,"You'll eventually succeed,right?"

I felt my heart thump.Those words...the words I've been longing to hear for years...just came out of the mouth of someone I personally dislike.My body moved on its own.

I leaned forward and my hands started to raise slowly... Luckily Shizuka stood up without noticing what I was about to do. "Let's go,the school is gonna close soon."

I stood up too and turned in the opposite direction from Shizuka."Y-yeah.But I gotta get something from the classroom so you go ahead first."She replied with an 'okay' and left.

I could feel my face getting hotter and hotter as I used the back of my hand to cover my face.Why was I about to hug her?!*Sigh*...But wait,don't I hug girls all the time?Why am I getting all flustered anyway?

After calming down,I walked towards the school gates and as I got closer,I saw Shizuka leaning on one of the gates listening to music.She was waiting for me?...Guess she does like me after all.(he's back to his annoying self😑)

"Ahhhh. Hime-San(princess),were you waiting for me?Oh,how nice of you.Okay then,let's go home."She was silent for a moment before she said,"Why would I wait for you?" I twitched💢."Oh,you weren't?"I asked slowly.

"Of course not.You just dropped this."She took something out of her pocket and threw it to me.I caught a hot pink wrist band in my palms....

"Phht...But who knew you like pink...how bold." 💢💢💢She was mocking me wasn't she?! I retorted,"No,I don't like pink!Today a girl who had a crush on me gave it to me as a gift!"By this time she was already walking away and she just said,"Hai,hai.Of course~"

💢💢💢💢💢💢💢💢💢💢 ARGHHHHH!!!SHE SERIOUSLY PISSES ME OFF.

Anyway,it turns out our home were in the same direction so at the very end we walked back together."Oh yeah,how did you know there was a match?Were you stalking me when you saw me walk to my father?"Moment of silence and she replied,"No.I walked pass the hall and I heard girls screaming,"KYAAAAAA.It's Izumi-sama!!!" and I just wanted to see how much of a failure you were.And I just happen to see you with your dad and decided to 'stalk' you for a second."

"..."(He could not react.)We continued to walk and eventually we reached... Akira-senpai's home if I'm not wrong."I reached my destination,bye."...Huh?

"You're a neighbour of Akira-senpai?...He's the one living in that house."I told her.She gave me a huh-look and said,"We're not neighbours.We live together ...Bye." She opened the gate and entered.

I DON'T UNDERSTAND.
