[DISCONTINUED] Basketball And Manga

The Real Question.

Author's Note: HEY!!! ...Kay,moving on. Well,here's another lead-up chapter(-_-)! Anyway,by the end of the chapter you'll know what I mean by lead-up and yeah.

See the beautiful mop in the media section? Yes,that is the mop dedicated to @JewlJem_TheOtaku because(due to lack of imagination juice) I don't know what else to write to make Shizuka the stick of the 'mop' while Kenta being the 'mop' on the floor with his face cleaning every bit of dust Shizuka feeds him. So yeah,a picture of a mop as a...replacement? Well,yeah,that's the meaning behind the random mop :D. (I do hope I made Shizuka as awesome as possible tho.)

IZUMI'S POV

  "I'll crush you." Shizuka hissed as she stared at Kenta,eyes wide with fury. Kenta took a step back as he stared back at Shizuka in disbelief. "H-how did you..."Kenta mumbled. I would like to ask the same question,but I already knew why.If you were already a genius prodigy at the age of nine,that 'simple' throw would be nothing to you.

  "What? Were you actually trying to injure me with the ball?With that kind of throw?Really?"Shizuka asked. "Well,if you were,keep dreaming.Because that throw...hm...reminds me of a new born duckling. Oh!I know.From now on lets call Kenta...Momo(meaning:peach.Feminine name) instead.He somehow reminds me of that name..." Shizuka insulted indirectly.She was obviously pissed to the point where she doesn't even want to insult directly and rudely anymore;she was indirectly insulting with a innocent smile on her face.

  Despite the tension,the team couldn't help but snort and snicker when she said that.I couldn't help it either. I mean,really,'Momo' for someone like Kenta is just hilarious,but I can't just burst out laughing like a brainless idiot.

  Shizuka seems so indifferent but realising that she's the Prodigy...everything is different.Everything makes sense. The way she was using all those weird,different moves was to drag out Kenta's habits. By using those moves,not only will she be able to find out Kenta's habits,she will also cause Kenta to relax as he,being an obnoxious narcissist,will probably find Shizuka being a pathetic player that totally sucks.When he relaxes,it would be easier to break through his defence.The moment Shizuka breaks through Kenta's - wait,no - Momo's(XD) defence,his morale will drop and that could eventually lead to a bad performance in the game.Shizuka has also masked her reflex speed.In the first half,it seemed like her reflex was the worst there could be;but now,that's obviously not the case.Right now,her reflex is comparable to that of a professional. 

  Honestly...this is just crazy.

Even at this point,most people haven't noticed who Shizuka was yet.Even in my team, only Ko and I realised who she was. "By the look on your face,I guess you already figured out who she is?"Ko asked,suddenly all senpai-ish. I nodded in reply as I stared at Shizuka,who was still insulting Momo.

  "Well,whatever Momo.That's all over and..."Shizuka let out a small laugh and bent down."Thanks for the superb pass,Momo."Shizuka dribbled across the court and scored a three-pointer again. The game went on like the first half - except for the fact that it was now Shizuka who was continuously scoring.

  Shizuka continued to break through the defence believed to be almost invincible like it was nothing more than a flimsy piece of paper.The way she played was amazing just to watch. When we watched her play,it was so...new.It was like she belonged to basketball.She was so nimble and fast.Her movements had no hesitation and everything she did was perfectly done.Perfectly planned - except it wasn't planned.She was playing with instinct and observations.Her body was not tense,it was relaxed...and yet,there was no openings or weaknesses.She was on guard yet calm. It was such a mesmerizing thing to watch.
