[DISCONTINUED] Basketball And Manga

Another troublesome thing.

IZUMI'S POV

I gazed out the window beside my bed as I let exhaustion take over my body. The ever-so problematic Shizuka just left my house after crushing me in the gaming challenge.She also told me to not bother her at school too much,cause it's "exhaustingly annoying" or so she says.Hahaha,that just makes me want to annoy her even more. Shizuka kotonashi...It's so vague.It's like I heard that name before,but I just can't pin-point where I heard it...I noticed this when she was first introduced to the class but I never really paid attention to it until now. Kotonashi...it's all so familiar...

I continued to ponder on her name and soon,I fell into deep sleep.

SHIZUKA'S POV

I walked into the classroom quietly and went to my desk.Chie isn't here yet,so I guess I get some peace and quiet until the-

"Shizuka!" Izumi's annoying voice shot through the air as he slammed the door open.

I stand corrected,very corrected.I ignored him and put my earphones on.He gave me a "Nuh-uh you didn't!" look and then smirked.He snatched my hand and kissed it,then put to his right cheek and said with a fake 'sad' tone,"Shizuka!Do you have a heart of stone?!How can you ignore me;a close friend of yours?I mean we did stay at my house till the sky was dark..."

Things dropping from peoples hands could be heard through-out the class before a long silence.My expression I looked at him with was...I don't even know(in media). The shock and disgust welling up in me was about to explode.

"............I'm going to kill you." Yup,so a certain rat was knocked out cold and was sent to the infirmary after a firm kick in the ******(The number of asterix doesn't matter,I'll leave that word to your imagination.)

"We were making the props for the cultural festival.So if any rumours go around in school,you'll end up just like him.Got it?" I muttered out,obvious that my mood was bad.Gulps and 'eek's could be heard before the class nodded.

Soon everything was back to normal except the fact that the tension in class was on an extraordinarily high level. When Chie entered,totally oblivious to what happened,she shuddered before she walked towards to me,"Whoa,what happened in here?It's like the stress level of an examination room...maybe worse."She whispered to me,worried a riot might break out if she spoke to loudly.I told her what happened and she was like,"...Figures..."

The day went by as usual,just that Izumi came back to class by mid-day. By the time school ended,my mood had lifted.Izumi,standing a safe distance away from me,told me he had basketball practice today so he won't be able to walk home with me.It wasn't a lie,but even if it was,that would be better.

I decided to go to that new ice cream place that opened not long ago,alone. Sigh,but my plans were changed.Chie said she was free and she wanted to come along too...so I guess it's the two of us.Turns out the ice-cream shop was located in a...dangerous place?Well,there are lots of perverts,hooligans, delinquents and gangsters here....How stupid,to choose such a location for an ice-cream shop...

Well I don't particularly care but Chie seemed to be pretty scared."I don't think we should go to that ice-cream place....it seems pretty messed-up here..."Chie said softly.I shrugged and said,"We came all the way here and if anyone comes to us,we can just threaten them that my dad is a policeman or I'll punch them."

There was a moment of silence before Chie said,"Your dad's a policeman?"I continued to walk as I replied,"No.Like I said it's a threat.Well...I guess it can be counted as a lie too...?Meh.Whatever it is,it's not true." Chie made a nervous laugh but continued to walk anyway.

"We said no!Just get lost already!"The familiar voices of my classmates could be heard in the deeper part of a dark ally at my right side about 4 metres away from me.It was Mai,Shika and their 'gang'. I guess they were here for the ice-cream too...why are they in the ally?...Weirdos. Who is Mai and Shika(and gang)?Their the girls who were 'bullying' me...more like digging their own graves.One day I'm gonna snap and send them to the hospital with a broken rib or two.(XD)

"They look like their in trouble..."Chie told me."...Yeah."I replied . I wasn't planning on doing anything....unless it's really necessary.I mean I don't hold a grudge against them or anything but it's way too much of a pain to get myself involved in something like this.

"Let go of me you bastard!!!"A loud,satisfying sound of a slap cut through the air as Mai slapped the guy holding her hand which was no older then 24. Ooooo...you just got slapped~ I sang in my mind.

"YOU LITTLE...."That guy who was slapped roared.I saw it.The evil glint of a blade in his left hand....sigh...you just had to slap him,Mai. Now I need to get involved in another troublesome thing.

MAI'S POV

The large guy in front of me raised his left hand.I was so scared I couldn't react.I couldn't move.I just stared at him in that second he was about to stab with that silver knife.The knife came plummeting down and my eyes clamped shut.Pain came shooting through me...but not from the knife.Someone had shoved me to the ground,helping me avoid the blade,and that someone was Shizuka.

Shizuka dodged the blade by a centimetre."Whoa there mister.I don't think you should be committing crime at such a young age...which is funny since I'm younger than you."She said stepping back from that guy and his very own gang. "Huh?What do you know kid?That girl behind you slapped me!"

She snorted and said,"Does everyone older than me get to call me a 'kid'?You're just like that irritating father...Then shouldn't I call you old man or something?-even though you look like you're in your mid-twenties anyway.Oh but sorry,I didn't realize that this 'old man' had such a childish personality. Really?Hell,she slapped you but weren't you the one harassing her with that ugly as hell face of yours?"

...What is she saying???This man could potentially kill her and there she is making fun of him?Is she nuts?

The man glared at Shizuka before charging at her with the blade.She stepped to his left side just as she was about to be stabbed and used her right hand to grab his left pinkie.She pulled it and then twisted it hard.The man shouted out in pain and dropped to his knees holding his pinkie in pain.His gang was so shocked that their 'boss' was so easily brought down,they didn't do anything.

The guy scowled at Shizuka as he muttered out in a shaky voice,"....I'll bring you to your dea-!"But Shizuka cut him off before he could finish.Her feet slammed into his face with a thud.This time she herself glaring at him,"You know,I was brought up in a strict family,respect and morals-that's what I've been brought up with and because of that...you truly disgust me."

In the darkness of the ally,it looked almost as if Shizuka's eyes were gleaming with murder intent.

And in this situation,she looked like a queen ready to kill.
