Hell yeah!My mother didn't take away my laptop,so I can continue writing!But my exams are still coming,so it won't be as usual any more.Anyway I hope you enjoy this chap.Starting from now,we're going to start going through Shizuka's past and more really important characters will be introduced! You'll know shizuka's past a little bit for this chapter,sorry for this being confusing(if it is).

  SHIZUKA'S POV

  A secret. Keep it a secret. Don't let them know. They'll leave you;just like they left you before. This world revolves around a win-or-lose rule.If you are better,you win.If you aren't,then you lose. But even if you win,you still get judged. By envy,jealousy or even fear;they can go against you.

  I walked towards the sports hall,specifically for basketball,slowly.It was after school and the Sports Festival is this Friday. Today is Wednesday and we are finishing the banner for the cheering squad. This basketball team is filled with idiots. Maybe that's why I don't feel as tense as I expected,but I still can't become 'friends' with them.How I became close to Izumi is something I don't understand either.

  Thinking about it,Izumi is actually quite similar to him. Well,their academic and common sense level are totally different. Izumi's an idiot compared to him. I felt a wave of emotions wash over me as I thought about him but I shook it off since I was nearing the Sports hall and,I hate those feelings. Why?Lets just say me and my boyfriend had some...problems. Well its not like he's here anyway.

  I walked in and was greeted by the basketball team and Izumi. I ignored them and walked pass them and they were all,"Aw!So cold!I'm going to die of the Shizuka-chan-is-ignoring-me-depression syndrome!" I couldn't help but chuckle at that comment. Well,that's how it is everyday we meet up to make preparations.

  Before we knew it it was already six,and the school was going to close soon.We were told to leave and finish whatever was left tomorrow,but we were already done. The dimwits in-front of me were cheering,"YEAHHHHHH.WE'RE FREEEEEEE!" Honestly,I pity myself.

  The basketball team decided to go to Ko's(the ace) house tomorrow.Well,more like his mansion anyway.Yeah,he's a rich kid too,ah,I don't call him senpai cause...he doesn't deserve that title.None of the 'senpais' do. After listening to part of their conversation,I decided to leave first;since I had nothing to be with it. As I was about to open the doors of the sports hall,they called out. "Hey,Shizuka-chan! Where are you going?!" I turned around and said,"Home."

  "But we're discussing what to do tomorrow!I'm sure you don't want us to do things at my home that you hate right?" I looked at them before saying,"But I don't want to go." They made the 'sad' face and Ko asked 'innocently',"Why?It would be so sad if Shizuka-chan didn't come!" I replied...hesitantly," You'll do perfectly fine.Besides...I'm not close to you guys...nor am I comfortable." 

  They kept silent and stared at me for a few moments with shocked expressions.Good...now they'll leave me alone,and I won't have to go through that again. But who knew. "...We don't know if something happened to you in your past or not. Something that made you refrain from becoming friends with us. However,we do know that you're a precious junior and you're definitely our friend. If you're uncomfortable with us...we'll just have to make you comfortable," They smiled and continued,"Right?"

  I stood there,unable to react. but the weirdest thing is...The fact that I could feel warmth growing inside of me,filling the empty me up.

  I snapped out of it and spun back to face the door.I pulled the door open and stepped out into the cold evening air.I don't know what's gotten into me but...I said out,"I'll think about it." And the door shut close.

IZUMI'S POV

  We weren't expecting that. Shizuka actually replied a "I'll think about it." to Ko-senpai's 'speech'. We all laughed...reason unknown. Maybe,just maybe,it was because Shizuka finally unlocked her 'doors' to them.  "You know,you should really go and walk your precious 'girlfriend' home.It's getting dark." I turned to them and said,"Fine.And she isn't my girlfriend.So shut it." I got my bag and ran out the doors of the Sports hall.

  Yeah,how could I date Shizuka? She's  a cold and sharp-mouthed otaku that just loves to piss me off. She's unrefined,clumsy,annoying,lazy and nothing like a girl. 

  However,I feel the happiest when I'm with her. How weird human emotions are.

  The Sports hall is at the side of the school so the outside of it is just a small courtyard and a straight path that will lead eventually you to the main part of school.About a hundred metres in-front of me was Shizuka.I called out to her and ran forward.

  She stopped and waited.Well,unhappily that is. When I caught up with her she asked,"What do you want?" I shrugged and said,"Going home together with you." She sighed and continued walking. The evening was cold but comfortable.

  Since we always pass by a ice-cream shop on our way home,we decided to get ice-creams today. Reason:We were hungry. We went to the 'river' that was beside the road that led to our homes. You know,the one where most cliché romance scenes happen.(simply said,the Ao Haru Ride crying(kou crying) scene spot....)

  We sat there staring at the river while eating our ice-cream. Shizuka finished her ice-cream first so she fell back and lay on the grass lazily with no self-awareness.After I finished mine I asked,"You know,I'm a guy right?" Shizuka snorted and said sarcastically," Wait what?!I always thought you were a girl!I'm sorry." I exhaled heavily and said,"Do you have to try and mock me with everything I say?" 

  She shrugged and said,"Maybe." I sighed and said,"Well,I am a guy and..." I rolled over and pushed her against the grass. My body was above hers and my hands held her arms in place. Her expression was dark and calm,even with my face right above hers."What...the hell are you doing?" I continued where I stopped in my previous sentence,"I could easily take advantage of you." 

  She looked straight into my eyes with no sense of embarrassment before she said,"Even though I read a lot of manga,I still know what reality is,so,you should too. And here's the thing:If you kiss me or 'take advantage' of me here,I'll call the police and sue you for rape or sexual assault.Oh and by the way,that will be after I headbutt you,scratch your face,kick you in the ****(leaving it to your imagination. XD)and push you into the river."

  I laughed unenthusiastically while I sweat-dropped. I rolled back to my original position and replied,"Your threatening is very...persuasive - Well,not like I didn't expect it." ...Maybe this is why I have fun around her.

  And I felt my heart flutter as I smiled.
