❝The world is merciless, and it's also very beautiful.❞
For years she'd suffered, under the bitter rain as it washed away the blood, under the scorching sun as it charred her wounds - for nature had fallen prey to the destructive march of the Allie...

Hawks was bewildered.
"You lost her," he repeated. "The girl who single-handedly took down Gyutaro and the Iron Order, the girl who assisted in the evacuation of the Musutafu shopping center, and the girl who rescued your colleague, you have no idea where she is now?"
"Not a clue, Hawks," Nezu responded cheerfully. "Imagine our surprise when we went back to the store yesterday and enquired for Miss (L/N), only to learn that she'd resigned from her job. Quite a shock, I must say."
A week had passed since the incident at the Musutafu shopping center. The media had torn down U.A for allowing their students to be involved in a second villain encounter since the start of the semester. All week long, the U.A staff had held several public conferences to address the situation and privately met with some of the concerned parents to alleviate their fears.
The school had been closed for two days to allow the students to recover while the teaching staff met up with the injured manager, Nishikawa Fumio, admitted to the Musutafu General Hospital. Hawks had no idea how that meeting went but seeing as no charges were pressed by either party, it could not have been too bad.
The last known location of the Paradis girl had been identified as Musutafu. When Hawks heard of the attack on U.A and the involvement of a third factor in the form of an unnamed girl (U.A had decided to protect her identity and not reveal her details), his instincts told him to check it out.
Securing a meeting with the Principal of U.A had been easy given his status as the No. 3 Hero and his vested interest in the issue as Tokoyami's mentor — although he does not have much to flaunt in that department; he had been a rather lousy teacher.
However, Hawks was now reconsidering his words.
Before the scheduled meeting, he had mulled over how he was supposed to approach the issue. U.A would no doubt be guarded with their secrets and wouldn't divulge the details of the attack or the girl very easily. He couldn't let them know of his ulterior motives in finding the girl. But to his surprise, the very opposite of his expectations happened.
Nezu was more than willing to share the details, even providing some extra tidbits that Hawks wasn't even aware existed, such as apparently the girl had also saved Pro Hero Vlad King's life weeks ago. It seems like her involvement with U.A ran way deeper than he'd expected.
Hawks were predators. They were prideful creatures who fed on those weaker than them. Their majestic wings demanded admiration and their sharp claws inspired fear. They were the undisputed champions of the sky.
Except now, as he noticed the curious glint in Nezu's beady eyes, he couldn't help but feel as if the hunter had become the hunted.
"Soooo there's really no trace of her, huh? Absolutely positively nothing?"
Aizawa gave him an exasperated look. "No, Hawks. We've absolutely no idea where she is. After the attack, she went to check upon Nishikawa-san while we gave our statements to the police. And when we went to the hospital, she had already given her statement to the police. And now we've lost trail of her."
