𝐏𝐥𝐨𝐭: After the disappearance of the most popular girl in school, Matthew Barker turns to the dark forums of Reddit in order to win her back from the internet's most allusive creepypasta -- the slender man.
𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐫𝐞: Psychological fiction, Mystery, Thriller.
𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬: This story is best comparable to the films It Follows (2014) and Unfriended (2014).
𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰: I bought this book on a whim because I was feeling nostalgic for my middle school creepypasta phase and ended up finishing it within the weekend that I bought it. For fans of sub-par horror, I fully recommend it. But the lore is completely isolated to this novel and never truly touches on the very real impact of this story on both the digital and living world. Written in a 'found footage' fashion, Slender Man excites while overwhelmingly underperforms.
