New York City No POV

A kid had a red lollipop until he saw an apple floating and eating itself before it got thrown away and his lollipop got taken away and eaten. A pair of eyes opened in front of a poster of "Divine Magic" as the creature looked kind of monkey like as a dog barked at it, it made a newspaper stand fall almost letting a bicycle guy almost crash. It just kept walking across the street causing a little havoc.

In a place nearby, one of those half snake half bird creatures went inside a building as it grew into the size of the room.

In a newspaper building, Langdon Shaw entered with Mary Lou and her children.

Langdon: and so this is the newsroom. Let's go. Now, they're just putting the papers to bed, as they say.<grabs a baseball bat>

Man: Mr Shaw. Sir. He's with the Senator.

Langdon: never mind that, Barker. I wanna see my father.<gives him the bat and enters the room>

Man; I'm so sorry, Mr Shaw, but your son insisted.

Langdon: father, you're gonna wanna hear this. <laughs and puts his stuff on the desk> I've got something huge.

Shaw Senior: your brother and I are busy here, Langdon. Working on his election campaign. We don't have time for this.

Mary and her children enter.

Langdon: this is Mary Lou Barebone from the New Salem Preservation Society. And she's got a big story for you.

Shaw Senior: oh, she has, has she?

Langdon: there's strange things going on all over the city. The people behind this, they are not like you and me. This is witchcraft. Don't you see?

Shaw Senior: Langdon.

Landon: she doesn't want any money.

Shaw Senior: then either her story is worthless, or she's lying about the cost. Nobody gives away anything valuable for free, Langdon.

Mary: you're right, Mr Shaw. What we desire is infinitely more valuable than money. It's your influence. Millions of people read your newspapers, and they need to be made aware about this danger.

Langdon: the crazy disturbances in the subway. Just look at the pictures.

Shaw Senior: I'd like you and your friends to leave.

Langdon: no. Look, you're... you're missing a trick here. Just look at the evidence!

Shaw Senior: really?

Shaw Junior: Langdon. Listen to father and just go. And... take the freaks with you.

Langdon: this is father's office, not yours. And I'm sick of this. Every time I walk in here-

Shaw Senior: okay. That's it! <makes a "get out" motion> thank you.

Mary: we hope you'll reconsider, Mr Shaw. We're not difficult to find. Until then, we thank you for your time.

Mary was the first to leave before he children followed.

Shaw Junior: hey, boy! You dropped something. <picks up the paper and hands it to Credence> here you go, freak.<crumbles the paper> why don't you put that in the trash where you all belong?

Credence walks away with his family.
