Ollie was jolted out of her peaceful depressive state, tissues flying up as she jumped at the sound of Yoongi's front door slamming open. Jin stalked forward, anger painted on his handsome face, Jeongguk and Hoseok following after him and reaching for him to keep him calm.
"Go back," Jin pointed at the door with authority, "Get your ass up, wash your fucking face, and go back to them right now."
Ollie calmed down, hurt taking over her features as she shook her head and looked at the floor, "I can't," she mumbled, "This is for the best."
"For who, exactly?"
"Them?" she looked up at him in question, "It's best for them, maybe for me in the long run, but definitely for them." She shook her head at Jin's frustrated growl, "They need to know," she explained, trying to placate the angry man towering over her, "If there's something better out there for them. You didn't see the girls that want their attention, Jin," she shook her head again to silence his argument, "You didn't see them. How they hung on Joon's every word or how their smiles lit up when Jimin came near, how -"
"Do you not do that?" Jin asked, crossing his arms, "Do you not give them enough attention? Do you not delight in their presence?"
"That's not the point."
"Then, what?" he threw his hands up, voice softening only a little, "You think that they're prettier than you, and that that means everything?"
"I think it means something!" Ollie's voice broke along with the dam holding back her tears. "I think it's at least another factor to consider, in the laundry list of things that make me..." she paused as she gestured over herself, "...this!" She stood up, pacing as Jin sat down and scrubbed his hand over his face, "You don't know how it is for normal people, Jin. You came to earth perfect, and without a past that can fuck with your head. I have a whole history of rejection and bullying and more rejection...before fucking Jason even drove it all home in the death blow that is my pending divorce."
"Right," Jin relented, voice still hard, "You're absolutely right, Ollie," he looked up until she stopped pacing and looked back at him, "You have all of those things. But, like, so do those girls. Or any girls," he held his hands out with a shrug, "If they didn't have their wings removed to fall from Heaven, then they come with history, insecurities, baggage, and even flaws. Just like you, just like the rest of the population." He leaned forward, eyes narrowing, "But what I want to know is why you're putting more weight on your flaws, and so much less weight on anyone else's?"
Ollie sputtered a few times before answering, "I...I don't know what you mean..."
"Horseshit," Hoseok finally interrupted, earning a nod from Jin and Jeongguk, "I even saw it in the hospital. You were so strong, standing in the face of adversity every time your asshole husband came around, but then breaking down right after and questioning everything about yourself for days after."
"That's not -"
"It is," Jeongguk finished, "You do it all the time. It's the same reason you and Yoongi broke up," he pointed at her, eyes softening when she let out a gasp, "He's not here, so I don't really want to speak on his behalf, but it took him a long time to get over you, because everything you felt was wrong with you, he felt was right about you."
"But look at where he is now," she threw her hands up, only to let them fall back at her sides, "He's successful, dating an amazing girl, and living his best life! If we had stayed together, do you think he'd be where he is now?"
Her answer came in a long-suffering look and an equally long sigh from the three men in front of her. Exasperated, she plopped back down onto the couch on the opposite side of Jin. She stared off at the television in front of her, paused on the scene from earlier. Her thoughts mulled over both what she had to say about herself and her situation as well as what her friends had to say about it.
