One-Sided Acquaintances
A/N: I hope you guys enjoy! It took a lot of courage to post these. Love you all <3
The harsh blows were powerful. Naruto and Sasuke's hair swayed frantically in different directions. His eyes slid side to side everywhere in a rush. Shelter! They need to find shelter!
The wind that once whistled shifted to a constant alarm of loud sirens. Each sharp sound felt like a blade glazing their ears, almost as if needles were pricking them. No, the sharpness that zoomed past them was not needles. It was raining. And the rain didn't fall gently, the fierce wetness flew. Rapidly damping their only clothes. So fucking merciless.
As Naruto took heavy breaths and weighted footsteps following, he desperately examined the area and realized that there was only one thing they could do, something that they've been doing quite often for a means to escape.
"Come- Come on!" Naruto yelled aggressively and took off. He didn't even notice he had grabbed Sasuke's hand until he felt the heat transfer to his hand.
Warmth. It was a touch that Sasuke hadn't felt in a while, and the nice sentiment brought Sasuke out of his anxious-ridden daze.
Thunder cracked in the distance, eliminating that short-lived feeling.
It was hard for Sasuke to hear the latter's voice, the hard splashes of rain muffled every sound that could possibly be heard. Sasuke constantly tripped over the big dents and jagged areas in the sidewalk. It was so cracked that every square looked as if it could break at any moment. He couldn't think, he only knew to breathe, and run. Water trickled down their hair and face as they ran through the storm. So loud. He thought he heard horns from a train, though the last sighting of one was far too long ago.. This was the perfect weather for a tornado to form, and Naruto knew that.
They couldn't be out there much longer. There's no way to escape a twister out in the open.
They had to find shelter.
They ran. And ran and ran. A never ending cycle.
Puddles of water became more consistent in sight as they went in further. Their whole bodies are soaked. Shoes soaked. Naruto's bag, soaked. Everything was drenched in water. So much damage was done in such a short matter of time. How would they recover?
Shit, how could they? Naruto thought.
God fuck it! He'll figure it out when they get to safety.
The mist blinded everything in a short distance. They could 0nly see what was at most ten yards in front of them. It was terrifying. Every tall building they came across, Naruto latched on the door handles and tried opening them. But none would budge. He severely yanked on this particular one, causing a loud clopping sound, and if civilization still existed here, citizens would think someone was getting robbed.
