"Tris," I say, out of breath. "She's alive, but barely breathing."

Cara gives me a puzzled look. She's trying to hide the fact that she thinks I'm insane. I don't care. I know Tris is in there, I know it's her. Instead of wasting any time explaining, I just point at Tris so she can see herself. She turns, and doesn't see anything at first. Then, she sees her chest rise and fall a little. Her eyes widen.

"Quickly, we have to get her to a doctor. Tobias, you have to carry her. We have to run. Follow me. Let's go!" she says. Christina and I follow her. I lift Tris up, carefully, like she's a glass vase I don't want to break. I'm afraid if I touch her in the wrong way, I'll lose her. I can't afford to lose her again. I can't. I'll lose everything. My family, she's my family. I can't lose my family again.

She's lighter than she ever was before. She's pale, and weak. I wish she would just open her eyes, so I could see them again. So beautiful. I pick up the pace, but not too much. I look down at her, and her eyes flicker open.

"Tris," I mumble, and smile. She's back, she's really back.

Then, she takes one more small breath, and closes her eyes. Her chest is now even, and all I can do is run. I don't care about being careful anymore. I just run, as her face gets paler and paler.
