love story

inspired by the song 'love story' by Taylor swift. I changed the lyrics a bit.
I felt like angst, so the story ends differently than before (I wrote a happy ending before changing it)

Also to clear up confusions, there are time skips after the lyrics.

We were both young, when I first saw you.
I close my eyes and the flashback starts,
you standing there..next to my father in winter air.

"Javier, this is my son Lloyd. He is a bit shy around new people, but a really sweet kid. Go say hello!", Baron Arcos said with a bright smile.

His son wouldn't be alone anymore and would have a friend his age.

Young Javier looked over at the brunette who seemed to be the same age as himself, but he hid behind a blonde woman, whom he guessed was his mother.

"Hello! I am Javier!"
Lloyd slowly looked at the blue haired from behind his mother's blue dress and hesitantly stepped next to her.

"My name is Lloyd... Nice to meet you"
Javier smiled brightly and took Lloyd's hand.

"You are pretty! Let's marry when we are older"

Arcos laughed and started to explain that they couldn't marry, which upsetted young Javier.

He turned back to Lloyd whose hand he was still holding and whispered into his ear, "I still want to marry you! Who cares about the weird grownup rules" and made Lloyd giggle.

"Father, we will go outside to play!", the brunette said and pulled Javier with him.

"Have fun! And don't get hurt"
Arcos turned towards his wife and sighed with a soft smile.

"I have a feeling their future will be full of adventures"

"Romeo take me somewhere we can be alone. I'll be waiting, all there is left to do is run"

"Javier! Let's go to the garden again. I found an even better place! I am sure no one can find us there", Lloyd chuckled as he stood up from his seat.

"I'll be waiting for you at midnight. Don't be late!"

The time passed painfully slow for Javier and he wanted to see Lloyd, but he was stuck in training.

After several hours, it was finally close to midnight and the knight went outside to sprint towards the garden gates, excited to see the young master.

While looking around and searching for said person, Javier got pulled inside a bush and fell on top of someone.

"Ow, get off you are heavy", Lloyd whisper yelled.

"Sorry, are you okay, Lloyd?", Javier voiced his concern and quickly stood up, to help Lloyd. "Yeah yeah, now follow me"

The blue haired did as told and walked behind the slightly shorter male with light steps.

They soon arrived at a beautiful spot with a clear view of the sky.

"It's gorgeous here.", Javier voiced his thoughts and tenderly wrapped his arms around Lloyd from behind.

"Not as gorgeous as you, my dear", Lloyd replied and put his arms on top of Javier's.

They both fell silent and listened to the sounds that the crickets made around them. For a while, it was only them and nature at night, before Javier spoke up again.

"The moon is beautiful tonight, isn't it?"

Lloyd took a while to understand the message behind Javier's words, but soon smiled and answered, "Yes, it is"
