"Oh." I awkwardly say. "Cool."

He blushes, realizing what he did. "I really hope you're not one of those that judge me. I told you because it's so easy to talk to you."

"No, it's okay." I smile. "I'm happy you told me."

He nods. "Wait, I think you've got something on your face."

He comes closer to me and my mom comes in my room randomly.

Alec was shirtless because he was hot, and I wasn't complaining.

Though seriously, my mom never came in my room and she had pick this day.

Mentally preparing to be lectured.

"Uh Izzy?"

"Yes mom?" I tried to say cooly.

"I, um, I was going to ask you if you wanted something to eat."

"I don't. Thanks though."

She nods and leaves the room. She's probably leaving it for later.

"So," he looks back at me "where was I?"

I chuckle. "You said I had something on my face."

"Yeah, right." He rubs something off my face and gets back in his place.

"You have pretty eyes." He says.

"Oh, no. I don't. People always tell me I do, but I think they're horrible. Yours are nice."

"Oh I know I have nice eyes." He smirks and I laugh. "But I love your eye color."

"Oh, little Alec is going straight?" I tease him, and when he frowns I laugh.

"Nah, boys are better."

"Oh I know that."

We spend the entire evening laughing together. The fact he is gay makes it so easy to talk to him, and he's very sweet and funny.

At eight o clock mom comes in, and asks Alec if he wants to stay for dinner, and he politely agrees. I wonder what's next? Sleepover? I chuckle, and we go in the living room.

Dinner starts kind of awkwardly, with dad trying to make some conversation.

Then mom, who had resisted for too long, speaks up.

"So, are you single?" Oh this is going to be fun. Mom totally thinks I was doing naughty stuff in there.

I smile, and he blushes.

"No, I'm not." He's definitely trying not to say he's gay, but mom is too stubborn to let it go.

"Who's the lucky girl?"

He gives up, and sighs. "His name is Liam."

The look on mom's face is priceless. She chokes on the water she was drinking, and dad tries to make it less awkward.

"That's nice." He smiles. His smile is so reassuring, and you cannot not smile back.

"So," I smile at Alec. "I definitely want your number."

"Trying to flirt with me, Iz?"

"You wish."

We laugh together.

"Give me your phone."

"Um, no. I'm sure you have one."

"You genius, I want to add my number to your contacts."
