"Wake up sleepyhead."

I wake up with Andrea staring deep into my eyes, and extremely close. Too close.

I push him off, and get up.

"What."

"It's Monday."

"Oh hell no." I say. "There's no way I'm going to school."

"Oh come on don't make me go alone."

"Don't go either."

He sighs.

"Okay then, we'll do something that here is called 'marinare la scuola'." He says, a full smirk on his face.

*

"But why are we going to schoooool?" I say, as Andrea drags me out of the house.

"Because we have to." He shots me a glare, as if to shut me up.

"Bye mom!" He shouts, and we leave.

"Okay, where do you want to go?"

"Wait we're not going to school?"

"No you genius, that was just to make mom believe we are."

"Oh, I get it."

"Where to?"

"Ice cream?" I make my best puppy eyes, and he chuckles.

"Sure." He takes my arm, and we go to the ice cream shop.

"Remember that one?" After we got our ice creams, he points at a tree, smiling.

Oh, not at the tree... At the bench under it.

"Yeah.." My voice breaks. Each time I think about a kiss it reminds me of Evan.

Evan.

I hadn't thought about him since a while, and I definitely was better without thinking of him.

I wonder if he has a girlfriend now...

"Want to go sit there?" Andrea snaps me out of my thoughts.

I nod, and we head to the bench.

We eat the ice cream in silence, until he breaks it.

"So, you feeling better?"

I nod. "Ice cream always makes it better."

"So what would you like to do now?"

"Dunno, there's that amusement park over there, let's go. I definitely need some amusement."

He chuckles, and leads me to the park because I completely forgot where it was.

I need to forget about my mom.... And Evan.

Is it even possible to miss someone so much? He's not even my boyfriend anymore, although it feels like it.

We're meant to be. Why doesn't he get it?

Why did he leave me?

Why-

"Want some cotton candy?" Andrea points at a guy selling some, snapping me out of my thoughts, again.

"Yeah, thanks." I make my best fake smile for him and he nods.

Does this count as a date?

Evan never brought me to an amusement park..

Oh right, there were none where we lived.

Evan - uh, - Andrea comes back with my cotton candy, and hands it to me.

"Why did you give it to me?" I asked him, with a confused look.

"You said you wanted some."

"No, I didn't."

"Yeah you did."

"Nope."

"Yup."

"Well if I ever said that, I must have been distracted. You eat it, I'm full."

He rolls his eyes and starts eating the cotton candy.

"That one." I point at a roller coaster, one of those enormous ones that make you throw up if you only step on them. "Let's go there."

Andrea next to me chokes on his cotton candy, and I laugh at him.

"Scared?" I tease him.

"Me? Naaaah." He says, still staring at the roller coaster, and checking it out from up to down.

"Come on, don't be a chicken."

I pull him onto the thing, and he gulps, gripping tight on the bar in front of him.

"Siete pronti?" (Ready?) The man who was checking if everything was ready to go asks up.

"Um, si." I say, and Andrea just nods nervously.

"Divertitevi." (Have fun.) He says coldly, and leaves.

The roller coaster starts off very slowly, but Andrea next to me is already shaking.

I smile and hold his hand.

"Don't worry." I chuckle, and the roller coaster gets speed, as the wind strikes my hair.

*

"That.was.the.worse.experience.in.my.life." Andrea, who still hasn't moved since we got off our kart, says.

"Nooo! It was fun!!"

"I think I know what I can get you for your birthday."

"You don't even know when it is."

"You totally need a dictionary to look up the word 'fun'."

"Come on, this is the most cliché phrase of all time!"

He shrugs, and laugh.

"Where to now?"

"Let's go to a 6D cinema. I've had already enough of this park."

I laugh, and follow him to the small cinema.

"You know," I say "that 6D cinemas usually simulate an experience on a roller coaster?"

"If I survived the real one, I can survive the fake one."

But that, of course, wasn't true.

Luckily there was no one else with us in the cinema to hear him scream like a little girl, except me.

"You sure have some problems with roller coasters." I laugh, as we get out of the cinema.

He rolls his eyes. "Can we go somewhere else?"

I spot an aquarium (AN: lol there are no aquariums there but it doesn't matter) and look at him. "Why don't we go there?"

"Oh... Um, no."

"Okay...?" I hug him, seeing him looking down.

I'm not going to ask why he doesn't want to go there, it's really none of my business, now that I've even forced him on a roller coaster.

He breaks the embrace, and after staring into my eyes for long, he leans in to kiss me, crashing his pink lips onto mine.

And when he does, it feels so right.

Yet, so wrong.
