•So, this chapter is the first chapter but from Evan's POV, cause I think there's something you should know. Important stuff, ya know, like why he left Isabelle.•

I give one last goodbye to Isabelle as she gets in her mom's car, then head off to find Caramel, my horse. He's sweet, and not as crazy as Rose. But that's the point, since Iz loves crazy horses.

"Hey" I greet him, stroking him on his white star on his face. "I came here only to give you these" I say, and as I show him the carrots his face lights up "then I've gotta go."

I leave my carrots in his box, then head off to find the other guys here.

"Hey" I say, initially confused "whatcha doin' here?"

Neil, the lead singer, answers first.

"We're here to pick you up."

I shrug, and jump onto our truck. Jack, the drummer, always drives, because he's the only one with the license, and we drive to our small meeting place, which is an old garage.

Alex, he's guitarist and singer, looks at me. "You look pale. You turning into a vampire?"

I chuckle. "I guess I've got a cold or something."

So I said everyone's role, and now I'll say mine. I'm bassist, and singer, and I'm the leader of this shitty band.

We start playing, and I ignore my headache, which is there since I woke up this morning.

But when it's my turn to sing a few high notes, my head spins, and I faint.

I guess I passed out for a few seconds, because when I open my eyes again, everyone is leaning on me, and as they see me awake, they sigh in relief.

"What the hell?" Asks Jack.

I shake my head. "I don't know. I've had this headache since this morning."

Jack looks away, apparently thinking, then speaks. "We've got to take you to the hospital. Now."

So Jack drives to the hospital, ignoring people yelling at him for driving so fast. Luckily we didn't come across any police, or we would've been screwed.

We reach the entrance, and as soon as we open the door, doctors carrying a bed with a guy inside pass by. I smell blood, and faint again.

I guess this time I've fainted for a longer time, because when I wake up, I'm in a doctor's room.

He's talking to a nurse, and I can get only a couple of words, like "fainted" and "blood".

When he comes back, I pretend not to have heard.

"You're awake, I see."

I don't answer. I just want an explanation, the sooner, the better.

He sighs. "I've got to talk to you, but also your parents must be here. I've sent a nurse to call them."

Great.

So we wait for my parents to come, which takes about a few minutes. Of course they rushed here, worried.

"What happened?!" My dad half shouts, while my mom is there, staring, unable to speak.

"Mom, dad." I say, trying to reassure them. "It's okay, I'm fine." I know I said I'm fine, but I don't really feel fine. Not even slightly.

My head pounds so hard, and I can feel my heart racing.

The doctor shakes his head. "No, you're not fine." He looks at my parents. "Can I talk to you?"
