Takes place a few hours before the very end of Chapter 17.

Junix the HiveWing and Copper the SkyWing were searching for the DreamWings' cave. It was by a massive cliff, wasn't it?

Junix's wings beat the gray fog as she searched the area. Copper flew up above the fog and hovered there. He blew fire out of his mouth and burned the fog away and his eyes widened.

"Junix! I see the cliff!" Copper said. The SkyWing dove down and flew off north. Junix followed closely behind. I wonder if the mission will be successful and who will be the victim. This mission is a game I can easily win by making the right moves with my character.

When the two dragons reached the cliff, they decided to hide in a niche in the rock.

After a few hours of waiting, they finally spotted a DreamWing. The bright colored dragon hovered stationary for a few seconds, looking around. Then, it landed and felt along the cliff wall and found a crack in the rock. The DreamWing sank to the ground and slithered under the mountain where the crack met the ground and disappeared.

The dragonets glanced at each other. Junix spread her wings and dropped to the ground lightly. Copper followed. He slipped on the wet grass and trod on her tail by accident. Stupid SkyWing, she thought, glaring at him.

They soon found the crack and the opening at the bottom. Junix slithered under first and Copper almost got stuck as his wings were so large. The scraping of their armor against the rock made a terribly loud noise.

Junix shushed him and dove behind a stalagmite just as a DreamWing guard walked by. Copper quickly picked up a pebble and hurled it far in another direction so the DreamWing ran off.

"You are so annoying!" She hissed at him. "You wouldn't be here right now if Flytrap hadn't made me bring you!"

"Stop acting like a hatchling! My fire breath is more useful than those puny stingers of yours!" Copper snarled back.

"Let's go exploring," Copper growled, concluding the argument. Junix rolled her eyes and slunk along a wall after the SkyWing.

When the finally encountered a DreamWing minding his own business, Junix slammed into him and stabbed her wrist stinger into his neck which knocked him out almost immediately. She also took some rope out of a bag she was carrying and tied him up and left him there.

This was not the dragon they were looking for.

They repeated this for each dragon they found that was not their target. They kept looking. Junix and Copper explored the area.

They kept looking. All was normal until they found a dragon they knew. This dragon was Flicker. He was the guard that beat her and Copper up when they were misbehaving the last time the DreamWings imprisoned the Sapphire Winglet.

Junix growled and her wings buzzed. Flicker continued minding his business. The HiveWing slowly unsheathed her weapon. Copper climbed a wall and hung on the ceiling with his claws. He crept along the ceiling and slashed at a stalactite with his iron-tipped claws that was above Flicker's head. The stalactite cracked and fell.

The rock structure smashed Flicker in the head, knocking him unconscious immediately. Junix leaped on top of him and sliced his throat open with her weapon. He was dead, the light from his eyes gone.

Junix decided to do something awful. She dipped her claw in his blood and wrote on the stone floor: 'GOOD AFTERNOON'. Copper shook his head but didn't say anything. He began poking through a bag the Flicker possessed.
