It felt like there were more than seven. More like twelve. They were staring at him. Staring at him with those creepy pure colored eyes. Flicking their weird purple tongues. With those too- colorful shiny scales. They were hissing. Hissing at the defenseless, scared, small dragonets. Even Junix looked nervous. Do something! his mind shouted at him. He ignored it. There was a big one in the front flapping her feathered wings in a figure-eight motion like a hummingbird. She had dark blue scales with hints of green and gold, covered in jewelry and scars. She had a bracelet here, a ring there, earrings, horn rings, necklaces, every single kind of jewelry hung and pierced at random.

She must be the queen, Palo realized, narrowing his eyes at her. The massive DreamWing bared her serrated fangs, throat flap throbbing. "Take them prisoner," she said in a commanding voice as chains were slammed on his wings and tail barb so hard he almost fell out of the sky right then and there.

"Stupid dragonets," were the queen's last words as they were quickly knocked out cold.

Palo blinked. He was now in a dark cave littered with bones and charred pieces of rock. He tried to stand up and noticed there were bands on his forearms that were chained to the floor. There were also bands with chains on his neck and tail. There were painful clips on his wings that prevented him from spreading them even the tiniest bit. Out of the corner of his eye was Junix who was still unconscious. They must've had to whack her hard to get her out. She had metal bands on her snout and neck. Her wasp shaped wings were also chained and clipped.

Copper was leaning on the wall, standing on his back legs, looking for an escape route before two guards came in. "We know what you're trying to do, redhead!" shouted one of them, aiming her spear at him. The SkyWing bared his teeth as smoke flooded out of his nostrils, wreathing around his horns. "What's he doing?" the other guard asked, snarling. These DreamWings had obviously never seen smoke before. Palo chuckled as smoke spewed out of his nostrils this time. "Oh, you buttheads," Junix snorted, now awake, "Take a guess, red, dangerous, burns everything, kills your lungs, starts with 'F'." "Fire!" the guards yelped, hurrying out of the cave prison. The three dragonets burst out laughing. "'What's he doing?' they say," the white-yellow dragon giggled. "I mean, do you want to know?"

"HEY! These prisoners aren't supposed to be smiling!" another DreamWing guard barked, whacking the ones who didn't know what fire was with his spear.

"B-but-" "NO BUTS!" he roared, hitting her with his feathered tail. "Get back to work, Amethyst!" Amethyst nodded quickly in a clearly terrified way before flapping into the darkness of the cave system.

Palo's laughing cut off as the mean guard stormed into the cave and picked up Copper's neck chain, then let it snap down and whip him, quickly and painfully.

"You are going to get that every time you do anything funny." Junix reared up as high as she could and lashed out with her talons, her fury completely refilled to its usual level. The mean guard barked a laugh.

"Oh, that's not going to work, sweetheart." He flicked her face with his feathered tail.

"Flicker!" A young female DreamWing shouted at him. She didn't have nearly as much jewelry on her as the queen did, but she had a few necklaces and diamond bracelets. Flicker's eyes widened. He bowed and looked strangely apologetic.

"I apologize, he doesn't know any manners at the moment," she spat out the word 'manners' as if it was a rotten mango and emphasized the 't' at moment. "Aren't we prisoners?" Palo asked. "Oh, I would prefer 'guests' personally," she said.

"He just... doesn't have the best background." Flicker growled something like "princesses" before stomping away.

"Call me Glister," she said, walking away gracefully. Glister was weird for a DreamWing, but Palo wasn't complaining. He shot a glance at Copper who shrugged. Junix had her talons covering her cheek which sported a wide gash.
