I managed to talk to Lee, about talking to Gabe. Oliver looked suspicious. Lee and I rolled our eyes at him.

"Forget about him. He thought I brought Gabe here for personal reasons." Lee explained and my eyes widened.

She gave me a guilty look.

"You brought him here?" I asked again.

She sighed, "Keith reminded me of him. I thought... you know. Maybe."

I gaped at her. So, she has her own suspicions.

"When I talked to you about Gabe..."

She started nodding, "It was a good guess, right?"

"But you pretended not to know..." I found the crucial point, why I'm feeling unsettled.

She shrugged again, "It's much more comfortable for you to talk about him if you thought I don't have my own suspicions."

I breathed out. Okay, she's right.

"Well, to be precise, I pestered him to come with Cody and me. It wasn't an easy feat, mind you. Cody helped me a little in convincing him. I just kept saying the change in scenery would do him some good." She explained. Oliver came to give us drinks.

"Thank you." Lee told him and I rolled my eyes as Oliver pecked her on the lips. Do they really have to do that?

"Come, come... sit. I need to talk to you as well."

Both of them raised an eyebrow.

"Dree's awake, so..." Oliver had to go and take care of their baby.

"So, why does Gabe want to talk? He could just come here to talk, you know. There's really no need..." She gestured towards me. She's right, but that guy is feeling awkward.

"It's a bit of a sensitive topic. I thought it's best if you have privacy as you talk it out."

Lee frowned as she looked at me.

"I could make dinner next weekend and invite you over to our house." I suggested.

"I don't think Oliver would appreciate that."

"Oliver can come. I just thought Gabe won't be able to speak if there's someone else. We could stay in the yard while you two talk in out in the living room or something."

She looked serious asshe contemplated.
