"Hi," Olivia said as if she hadn't talked to him in months. "I wanted to call you back like you asked and I wanted to check on you. How was your game?"
Spencer grinned. Just like Olivia to act like a million things hadn't happened in the last 24 hours. "My game was terrible. As far as me... I honestly don't know how I am at the moment. You doing okay?"
"Ha, no. In the same boat with you. I just wanted to see if you'll be home once you get back in town. I really need to...talk to you," she admitted.
"Sure, we can talk. I'll let you know when I'm back and I can either come over there or you stop by my place. Whichever," Spencer offered. "Or we can go out."
"I'll come to you," Olivia replied. "We can go to the rooftop if no one's up there."
"Sounds like a plan," Spencer hummed. "I'll hit you up when I land."
When they hung up, they both exhaled.

Flashback - Senior YearThey gave her 24 hours to pack her bags before her flight to Baltimore. Olivia was barely allowed to get a word in as Billy berated her about lying. All Olivia could feel from her parents was the disappointment, though Laura did attempt to calm her father down. Everyone was in a panic, which made their attitudes towards Olivia understandable. Billy and Laura were afraid if this intervention didn't work, they'd eventually lose their daughter. That helplessness came out as anger that they didn't intend to impose on her.
Jordan stayed back in his room, trying to hold it together long enough to see his sister off. Olivia being afraid to go back to rehab shattered his heart and there was nothing he could do to save her. How did he miss the signs yet again? Would she end up resenting him this time? When he heard the wheels of Olivia's suitcase in the hallway, he blinked back tears that escaped anyway.
Her curls were pulled away from her face and he could see the true pain and fear etched on her features.
"Guess I'll see you on the other side," Olivia said, throwing her arms to her sides. Not only was this awkward, Jordan was her twin brother. They literally shared a womb for 9 months. When he hurt, she hurt and vice versa.
"Please don't say it like that, Liv," Jordan shook his head. They both laughed nervously before the tears betrayed them.
Olivia fell into her twin's chest, "I'm so sorry, Jordan. I'm sorry!"
"You're going to be okay. You'll be fine," Jordan said, trying to convince himself that his sister would come out of this healed. With her going so far away, he felt like he couldn't protect her and it tore him up inside.
Laura and Billy called up the stairs that it was time for Olivia to head to the airport. Jordan chose not to go because seeing her leave the house was hard enough. Watching her walk away in an airport would break his heart even more.
"I love you," Jordan said, giving Olivia one more squeeze before letting her walk down the steps. At the bottom, she turned back around and gave him a small smile.
She didn't expect Spencer to come say goodbye because of how things unfolded. Olivia assumed the previous night would be the last time they would see each other for awhile. Though he didn't make it over to see her off, he sent a long text message telling her he wasn't angry with her and that she did still have him in her corner once she got back to Los Angeles. He offered her comfort and positive affirmations as she took off on her new sobriety journey.
