I'm snowed in so that means time to write. Enjoy!
Spencer cleared his throat and tried to keep his eyes forward. Who knew seeing Olivia in person after two years would have him sweating this much. On top of her cleavage in the crop top paired with the short skirt? Was this punishment for something he had done in the past? Why did someone he couldn't have do this to him? Cheyenne was sitting back home in Los Angeles waiting on him to figure out what he wanted to do with their relationship. She was ready to settle down while Spencer's mind was more focused on his career. They said going into the league in a relationship was a bad idea. Just like jumping into a new one was also a bad idea when you didn't know people's intentions.
"They called your name, come on." Olivia squeezing his arm brought him back to the present moment. They walked forward and Olivia smiled as they stepped out from behind the curtain. She led him to the bottom of the steps before taking her place in front of the stage where the cheerleaders would perform. Spencer waved to the cheering crowd. It felt like he was having an outer body experience as the muffled cheers in his ears didn't stop him from focusing on Olivia. She was was talking to one of the male cheerleaders as they pumped up the crowd. Her partner bent forward to grab her waist as he put her into a stunt. That motherfucker better watch his hands. Spencer shook the intrusive thought out of his mind. Get a grip!
The rest of the event was a blur until it was time to sign autographs.

"Damn, she got your nose wide open, bro," Chris laughed on the other end of the call. "How are you going to get around that dumbass rule?""First of all, my nose ain't open. And I'm not trying to break any rules. I'm here to play ball and she's doing her own thing. That's how it will stay," Spencer replied, already wanting to hang up in his friend's face. "How 'bout you worry about us kicking your ass come October."
"Man whatever. Dallas will be ready for that wack ass pigeon flock. Worry about how you're not going to fall into the Olivia dust again. You're already stutter stepping."
Spencer paced his hotel room after he hung up with Chris. He was meeting with an agent about renting an apartment or condo in the area. His finger lingered over Olivia's name. She had been living there for years and probably knew good areas for him to look.
"Fuck," Spencer cursed when his phone rang in the middle of his uncertainty. "Hey, Chey."
"Saw your interview on the Ravens IG account. Looks like you're loved already," Cheyenne beamed, her usually soothing voice was annoying Spencer who was fighting a different demon.
"Yeah, it was crazy. Felt like a pep rally in high school all over again," he said, throwing himself back against his bed. "What are you up to?"
"Just finished class for today. I don't know about this grad school thing. It's kicking my ass, Spence," she admitted. Cheyenne was getting her masters degree in Education with hopes of becoming a second grade teacher. "But I love those kids and they keep me going." In the meantime, she was a student teacher at a local elementary school in Crenshaw.
"Keep pushing, you're almost there," Spencer encouraged. Now the guilt was setting in. Even though they were in a weird place with their relationship and he was technically single, thinking about Olivia in a romantic sense still felt wrong. Cheyenne was doing everything she could to eventually make them work. For now, they remained in a gray area which Spencer knew was dangerous.
"Jordan was talking about coming up there for a preseason game if his schedule allows. His agent is thinking he could be picked up by a team before then," she added. "Oh, I meant to ask if you saw Olivia? He told me she was still up there."
