Aiden POV ~

He knocked on Aru's door, Rudy behind him. She opened it and blinked at him. "What's up?" He smiled. "We're gonna have fun today." She looked at him doubtingly. "Right. How so?" He didn't say anything, just told her to go get ready. She came back wearing a hoodie and jeans. In the middle of summer. He raised an eyebrow at her choice of clothes. She shrugged. "I had to cover the bruises somehow, didn't I?" He blinked. "Right. Come on, the others are waiting for us at my house."

He dragged her to his house, where, as he promised, the others were. "Alright, first off–" Rudy cut him off. "Can we go to a supermarket?" Aiden blinked. "What?" Rudy repeated himself. "Why a supermarket?"

He shrugged. "Why not?"

"Because–" He was cut off again, much to his annoyance. Nikita piped up. "Yeah, fine. We'll go to a supermarket. Happy?" Rudy nodded excitedly, not unlike a puppy.

Aru POV ~

This was so not how she planned her day to go. First they went to a supermarket. Rudy peppered them with questions. Correction, peppered Aiden with questions. While there, they did get some apple juice and a few cookies. Then they went to a park. The twins were swinging on the swingset, and Mini was in conversation with Rudy. Brynne was climbing the jungle gym. Aiden and her watched the others, eating their cookies. "They're weird." He said suddenly. She nodded. She could feel his eyes on her, and her face grew hot. At least she could blame it on the heat. "Sooooo... how ya feeling?" He asked. She shrugged. "Horrible, but I'm alive."

After the park, they went to the movies. After much persuasion, Mini agreed to watch a horror movie. After the movie, Mini was clinging to Rudy's arm, who was clinging back. Brynne rolled her eyes. "Come on! It wasn't thatbad." Mini glared at her. "Easy for you to say." Aru blinked. "No, it really wasn't that bad."

"Yes, it was!"

They continued bickering back and forth, until Aiden stepped in. "It's getting late. We should go back. You can continue fighting at Aru's house." She turned on him. "My house? Why not your's?" He shrugged, clearly irritated. "Because no."

No POV ~

Everyone hung out at Aru's house for the remainder of the day, doing dumb stuff and bickering. When no one was looking, Aru smiled at her friends. It felt good to be with them again. It was nearly 10 in the night when they left. Aiden lingered by the door for a bit. "That was fun." She said, trying to break the silence. "Yeah. And, Shah, I amglad you're alive. Even if you're super annoying sometimes." He offered her a small smile and left. It was a good day.
