The year is 780, Sotra Empire is full of happy people, and this September 19th comes another one.
Another happy face to add to the Empire. She comes already with a bright smile and a pair of strong lungs, her golden hair glued to her head with blood and amniotic fluid.
Her parents smile and give her a name, her name, name that will become so famous in her town in just 5 years.
The reality of this child was all average. Her father, Mihailo, a commoner Knight with no surname, took her mother's surname and became a stay at home dad and sword instructor to first graders. A nice and welcome change to his everyday warrior routine.
Her mother, Masha, a magic text writter, with a soft spot for small animals, used to be a great Sorcerer once upon a time, but she felt her magic slowly fading. Her parents met in the academy and stayed in contact for 10 years, when they got married. They have tried for a child for long, with no success, until this sunshine greeted them.
The blonde child grows and she grows fast. Her parents can't even keep up with her. She starts walking at eight months and off she goes. That walk wasn't even a walk. Her father was cleaning his sword after his morning practice when he saw a Ray of sunshine pass him by. Well no, not a ray of sunshine, that was his daughter, running, at eight months old. This was his most beloved story to tell everyone. All the neighbours would laugh and tell him how his daughter will grow up into a real beast.
"She will be a better Knight than you ever were" - they would tell him, "keep both of your eyes on her. "
Hearing this made him proud, albeit a bit too antsy. In his mind she was growing far too fast and she would leave the house far too soon.
Creating ruckus was her pass time. At the age of two her parents brought her to have her magic power measured and while waiting they got so many looks. She was running around the waiting area and introducing herself to all the kids there. They were soon called in and went back home happy that she's average but also embarrassed because she broke a magic reader while trying to eat it.

At the age of four she starts attending the local kindergarten, making her father tear up chanting "My little girl has grown up too fast, she will find someone else and leave her old parents alone." His wife looked at him as if he has lost all his marbles and while shaking her head said:
"She is just going into kindergarten, she won't leave us, yet."- and then, with a sigh "I hope." - she added.
Kindergarten was fun for their child.
Immediately upon her arrival other kids started flocking to her. Her happy go lucky nature and hunger for knowledge and games, brought fame to her with other parents. They praised her to their families, praised her parents for the way they raised her and everyone wished to begin their day by seeing her smile.

Today, that smile will unfortunately fade.

While she was in kindergarten, learning about the history of Sotra Empire, her mother had other plans. Masha Mosay was in her late twenties and struggling with very bad magic deficiency, but at the same time what magic she did have left, was too strong and it was driving her crazy.
So crazy in fact that she took her husband's sword and killed him, while he was cooking lunch.
Upon coming back to her senses Masha saw what she has done and in her grief her magic exploded out of herself, burning and destroying their home.
The only person not knowing what was happening was their daughter, the child in question was still in kindergarten when the clock struck 1pm.
"Sweets, none of your parents are here to pick you up, shall I take you home?" - asked her nice Harpy teacher.
"No. I'm a big girl now! Dad even said that I'm smarter than him, now!" - she said with a big smile.
"Oh, is that so. Well then, good luck and see you on Monday."
"Bye, bye teacher Kora."
Exiting the kindergarten, the jumpy and happy mass of golden tresses started her journey.
On the way everyone said their Good day's and asked her where she was off to. "I'm a big girl now so I can go home alone" - she'd say. Passing the Street of Maka the Just, she came about a candy and sweets store owned by an old lady Sorcerer Runka. Runka would always give candy to her and spoil her appetite, so her mommy taught her to take the candy, stash it away in her Pio yellow school bag and say thank you. Besides her daddy was cooking her favourite, mushroom stew with wild Pio meat, she didn't want to be unable to eat it, just because she filled her belly with candy.
