(Sex ahead)
(Ivann's POV)The rest of the week went by pretty uneventfully. Kyle's mood didn't change. He still growled at me every time I got close to him or his brother. He was always watching Sean and me, whenever the two of us interacted or showed the other some sort of affection, especially when we kissed, but he'd quickly look away when we noticed. Maybe he wasn't comfortable with mine and Sean's lifestyle? Anthony, on the other hand, seemed to grow happier and happier with each passing day. He didn't even seem to notice that Sean and I being together differed from most other couples - or if he did; he didn't seem to care. He tried to interact more with Sean and me, but he would immediately pull away when he looked at his brother, who always had a disapproving look on his face, whenever he saw his younger brother with the two of us.
That following Friday, after work, I did some shopping. I bought the pups all new school supplies - new backpacks, new notebooks, new pencils and pens and so on - and some new school clothes. Besides school supplies and clothes for them, I bought them some other things. For Anthony, I got him a bunch of toy cars and action figures, and for Kyle, I got him a basketball and a basketball hoop.
Anthony tore into the bag of toys I handed him, shouting, "wow!" and "cool!" every time he pulled out one of the toys.
"Here," I said to Kyle as I tossed the basketball to him. He caught it with both hands, and then he looked up at me with a blank expression - neither happy nor disappointed. "You'll have to wait for Sean to get home, so he can put up the hoop," I told him with a small smile, as I separated their school things, putting them into their new backpacks.
"Ivann, thank you!" Anthony exclaimed as he ran over and threw his arms around me, squeezing as tight as he could.
I was shocked, not by Anthony's expression of gratitude, but because of his brother's absent growl. I looked back at Kyle, kind of in disbelief that he was allowing this without any sort of protest. He was half watching me and his brother and half watching the basketball in his palms, which he rotated slowly. His blank expression didn't change, but there seemed to be a change in his perpetually tense, dark mood. He seemed more at ease.
"You're welcome," I told Anthony with a smile, as I turned back to him and patted him on the head, lightly, between his ears.
I met Sean out in the driveway an hour later, when he got home. "Hey, babe, what's up?" he asked, with a slightly concerned look on his face, as he hopped out of his truck and walked over to me.
"Nothing. Why does there have to be something up for me to wait for you?" I asked as I reached out and placed my hand on his chest.
"No. It's just been a while since you've waited in the driveway for me to get home," he answered, with a grin, running his hands up my sides as he leaned down towards me.
"Now that you mentioned it, though," I said, just before his lips made contact with mine. "There is something that I need your help with," I told him as I popped the trunk of my car, revealing the basketball hoop.
"I knew there was something," he said, with a smile, as he looked in the trunk.
"Do you think you can put it up before dinner?"
"Yeah. But you'll owe me," he told me as he pulled me closer, with a little hungry growl. "Shower, tonight."
"That sounds fair enough," I agreed and kissed him. "I'll go get the pups so that they can help," I told him as I slipped out of his arms, and his wandering hands, and sprinted up to the house. "Hey, can you two come outside and help put up the hoop?" I asked them as I walked into the living room.
"Yeah!" Anthony shouted, immediately jumping up from his toys and running over to his brother. "C'mon, Ky, let's go help put up your basketball hoop," he told him as he grabbed his hand and tugged.
