SHE WALKS into a cafe near the NY-Presbyterian Hospital. She walks inside and waits in line behind a guy. He was tall, but what caught her attention was his smooth brown skin. It looked so soft and clear. She wanted that—soft and clear skin.
Half of her body was covered in loads of freckles. People complimented her on them, but she didn't believe them. No one with as many freckles as her could possibly look pretty.
Her camera dangles around her neck, as she waits in line for her coffee. The man with beautiful skin grabs his coffee and bagel and sits down. She saw his name stitched into his blue-grey-coloured scrubs. He had a pretty name. He was a surgeon.
She catches a small glimpse of his face.
And my oh my, did he look beautiful.
