Shay~

I stood in the mirror of the hotel to put in my earrings. Kyle was playing with his hair in the bathroom.

"Come on Kyle. We've got to go."

He rolled his eyes and started out the door.

I grinded my teeth together and got in.

"Is this gonna be another one of those days?"

"I don't know what you're talking about Shay."

"Look, I don't want to fight with you today. Its About Alix-"

"Then let it stay about Alix."

My eye twitched in irritation. The ride to the funeral was awkward and silent.

Kyle was obviously still irritated, but at the funeral he literally kept me together. You'd think that Alix and Antonio would want to be together. The huge room was divided: Alix and her family on one side, Antonio and his on the other. Alix stood in between Xavier and her grandmother, Kyle and I sat behind them. The fury and hopelessness was clear in Alix's eyes. She was so devastated, she couldn't even cry.  Throughout the whole thing, all I kept thinking was, "This can't be happening. This shouldn't be happening." And it shouldn't be. Alix should be at home with a bouncing baby boy, washing throw-up out of her hair. Not here.

Antonio sat in between his mother. Close celebrities filled the room, along with Trey and Chris. Antonio looked drained, like he hasn't slept in days. Chris looked emotionless, and Trey cried.

The baby was buried next to Gabrielle, Alix's mom. I that that's what really sent her over the edge; seeing her baby and her mothers grave at the same time.

When it was over, I stood with Alix as Antonio's mom came over.

"How are you feeling Alix?"

She shrugged. "Better than I was, I guess."

"You're strong. You'll get through this. As for you and Antonio, well, only time will tell."

She kissed Alix's forehead and walked away.

"I uh, I'm assuming she doesn't know that you burnt the house down."

She let out a dry chuckle. "No. I guess not."

Antonio~

I was walking around the parlor trying to get away from everyone. All of the sorry's, the sad faces and wet eyes is just too much.

I escaped from the back, and found Alix sitting against a wall with her palms to in her face.

I hesitated, but eventually sat next to her. She didn't look to me.

"Alix....?"

She didn't say anything.

"I'm sorry you had to go through that alone. I don't know what I was thinking."

Still, she was silent.

I put my hand on her shoulder. "I know my sorry isn't worth anything, but-"

Before I could finished my sentence, she pressed her body to mine and locked her arms around my neck. I hugged her back as she cried over my shoulder.
