14: Grew Up Too Fast

I get it. I was gone. Get over it.

"Ugh... what in the actual hell..." I groaned. Something felt off, something unusual felt different with me. "Huh? Damn, when did this sleeping bag get any smaller?..." I noticed a lot of red flags appearing around me... or to better say, appearing within me.

I lifted my hands close to my face to see them. I noticed how longer they got. I touched my hair and felt how silky and slightly longer it got. "What the... ?!"

Two things I have noticed. First of all, SINCE WHEN DID MY VOICE BECOME DEEPER?! And secondly WHY IS—

"... Huh? Why are you up so early?" Luna groggily asked me. We both started at each other for a short moment.

"... WHY are YOU in the same sleeping bag as me?" I said still thinking about how different I felt.

"Why is... your voice different?" Luna mumbled before covering herself with a blanket and falling back asleep.

I immediately got up and went to the bathroom to check myself on the mirror. "Wh-What... just happened to me?" I said in a panicky tone.

Apparently, I somehow turned older. My voice has gotten a bit mature, my hair... more better... and my face... My height... Increased... Damn I'm handsome...

"Wait! Wasn't I 14 just last night?!" I said snapping out of my trance. "Eva! I have a problem!" I would be lying if I said that I wasn't trembling in fear the whole time.

Just as I commanded, Eva soon appeared. "What is it that you wish?" She said calmly.

"Yeah! I'm somehow OLDER THAN I WAS LAST NIGHT!"

With a raised eyebrow, she got serious. "Sudden age progression you say? Please stand still while I scan you."

Eva didn't take long to do a scan around my body. I was worried since I just in the middle of puberty just last night. After Eva completed the scan, just by her tone of voice, I could tell she was also surprised.

"H-Huh... It seems the upgrade for your intelligence, stamina, and agility also had a unexpected side effect."

Hearing this, obviously made me panic even more. "WHICH IS?!"

"Growth hormones."

I stood there, mentally freaking out. I took deep breaths whilst starring at the older version of myself on the mirror. I swear, I was just 13 last night! Did Luna do something to me while I was asleep?!

With a nervous voice, I spoke. I continued to look at myself in the mirror, still shocked that it's still me but suddenly older. "Hey E-Eva?"

"Yes?"

"If the growth hormones affected my aging development, then how old am I right now?"

"According to my scans... You are most likely 19 years old."

I was flabbergasted by this information to the point where I leaned onto the sink. "Okay... I'm somehow older... my brain still feels the same as 13... oh shit..."

My breathing was fast and panicky. So, I took a minute to calm myself down to process this revelation better. "E-Eva, please alert the other guys that I'm coming back soon."

"On it."

I quickly left the bathroom and walked to the living room. Meri, Snow, Luna, Midnight, Geo were already awake. The rest were sleeping peacefully.

"Good morning Jay! You seem... awfully different." Midnight said, quickly changing her tone from cheery to worry. It seems that my change in appearance was noticeable already.
