7: Enemies Or Allies?

Before this starts, all I have to say is 'Wow'. I haven't been in this book for a long while and it somehow reached 2k reads.

So uh.. Thanks. :)

Also, slow updates are also killing me but In a weird way. You might see the reason because of my new stuff that I'm currently working on. I'm still managing on the work tho so that's a good thing.

So I think I have to spend a bit more of my quarantine on this book which might not work out so great but I'll give it a try.

Humans against evolved ocean life.. What else can happen?

Things have been going on too fast. All I can think about is how everything that we went through led up to this moment. From us waking up from a capsule to be enemies towards an evolved species.

"Jay, explanation. Now." Agent 3 Said menacingly. "Can you guys put your weapons down?" I asked my friends. They didn't since they are still alerted about the inklings pointing their weapons at them.

"What's going on man?" Lex said. "Also, Who are they?" I asked at them. There was a guy with machinery body parts and some guy with a helmet pointing his gun at the inklings. He didn't give a word.

"Alright guys you don't have to get hostile so please for the love of god, LOWER YOUR DAMN WEAPONS!" I yelled. My friends lowered theirs first showing the inklings that they don't mean danger. Then the inklings did the same thing later on.

"I will explain everything part by part. Just.. give me time please." I Said towards the 2 groups. I decided to explain the whole situation towards the inklings first then my friends.

Agent 3 grabbed my jacket and pulled me towards her. "Can you explain to me what in the world is going on?!" She said while shaking me.

[* Lex POV *]

All I saw was that small creature shaking the hell out of Jay while making some angry gargling noises.

"What's even happening other there?" Julia asked while looking what's happening in front of her. "I think is better for us not to question about it." I Said.

I started admiring the creatures that Jay's having a argument with. They're short, their ears are like elves.. And their hairs look like.. Tentacles?

I haven't noticed but there was a magenta mixed in black creature heading towards me. It was in front of me tilting its head like it's trying to find out what are we. I took a step back but the creature would take a step front.

"Uhh.. Hi?" I Said confused. It also made a confused face at me. The creature started gargling in a weird way. "It looks like it's trying to communicate with you." Axel Said. "Ya think?" I responded.

The creature started to roam around me taking a closer look at me. "Is it interested in me or something?" I asked. "I'm not sure. Probably Jay will explain to us while he's done with them." Riley Said.

"I SWEAR IT WASNT PLANNED! I DONT KNOW ANYTHING!!" Jay yelled. "Oh boy.." Julia simply said.

"So what you're saying is after you crashed, they took you in and questioned about you?" Riley Said. "Yeah. I even learned about them too so that's mostly everything I know so far." Jay said. "Also, Who are those 2?"

"Oh, these are Axel and Edward. We found them in Apexi in capsules like the ones we used." Julia explained. Axel waved at Jay and he did the same. Edward walked towards Jay and it was bit scary too.

"So you're Jordan McCain's only son?" He Said. "Yeah, and how'd you know?" Jay Said. "I was a secret Elite team that he created for the government. We never left the building and was only trained by your father." He Said. "Well that's nice, what about you?" Jay Said looking at Axel.

"I was prototype of the cyborgs that your father was working on too. And to be honest, I was the better than the rest of the prototypes." Axel Said. "By the way you think, I can tell." Jay sighed.

"So can you tell us about them?" Riley Said. "Alright, they are called Inklings of course, and they said that our species went extinct because of the ocean levels rising. They evolved that took 12,000 years and here they are. Most of the time wonder how it was in our years so they started doing research about us. Eventually they found some skeletons of humans and some stuff that we invented before." Jay explained.

"So basically we're the last of our kind." Julia said a bit nervous. "Technically Yeah." Jay Said. The inklings head towards them and started making more gargling noises that no one could understand. "Eva can you please activate their translators?" Jay Said. "Translators activated." Eva said.

The glasses changed to color blue and faded away. Axel could easily translate what they're saying because he's a cyborg. For Edward, we'll never know. "Umm.. Hello?" Riley Said. "Are you Jay's friends? How was it back then? Was it really cool back then? What kind of video games were there before?" Said the 'inkling' colored magenta. "Callie calm down! They'll answer those questions but relax." Said a green inkling.

"Well that's a first." I Said. "Inklings, meet my human friends. Guys meet the inklings." Jay Said. The inklings examined us from top to bottom.

"They don't seem like threats." Said the yellow inkling. "Not yet." Said the other green inkling.

"Uhh. Hi. I'm Riley." He Said. "I'm Lex." I Said. "I-I'm J-Jose." He Said shyly. "Nice to meet you, im Julia." She said. "These 2 don't talk much. He's Gaven. We really don't know his real name, but we do know it starts with a G so we call him G-man." Jay explained.

"Hello, I'm Axel. And this one here also doesn't talk much, his name is Edward." Axel Said. Edward just nodded.

"So now my friends introduced themselves, can you guys do the same, but not in a bad way?" Jay Said.

"My name is Callie! Nice to meet you!" She said happily. "I'm Marie. Pleasure to meet you." She said. "I'm Agent 4!" Another Said. "Agent 3.." the other said, menacingly.

"So that makes you.." I Said at the octopus one. She held up 8 fingers. "Agent 8?" I Said. She nodded. "Sup, I'm Pearl." Said the short one. "H-Hello.. This is the first time I've ever seen a human.. in so interested about your kind.. I-I hope we can be good friends. Oh, I'm Marina. P-Pleasure to meet you." Said the tall one.

"I'm Captain Cuttlefish.. And I'm turning 100 soon." He Said. No one asked but they didn't mind it.

"So it's settled? No one want to end each other? Okay we're good then." Jay Said. "Can we learn about you?" Callie Asked hyped. "Maybe tomorrow. It's getting late I'm very tired-"Jay Said until he fell. "Jay!" Jose said worried.

Jay started snoring. "I'm tried too. Can we rest here? The vehicles are safe back at the camp." Riley said. "You have a camp?!" Callie Said more excited. "Callie please calm down. We'll learn about them soon enough. It's already getting late." Marie Said. "Aww, I wanted to learn today." She said sad.

"We'll do it tomorrow. Get some rest. You guys can rest here for today. We'll find a place for you soon enough." Marina said. "I'm actually getting quite excited about it!" Agent 4 Said. Agent 3 groaned. "8, lets go back." She said.

Agent 8 followed her. We prepared ourselves for tonight. "Hopefully we can gain their trust." Riley Said. "Shouldn't be that hard." I Said. "Hopefully." Julia said.

We all drifted to sleep.
