When you approached the room you noticed the line of parents and children waiting to take their picture with the bassist. You hung your head so as to not be recognized by the human staff members, luck must have been on your side as the line cut off ended right after you. As you neared the front of the line you noticed Monty's attendant, an average looking guy who looked like he would rather be anywhere other than babysitting an animatronic while wrangling children and their parents.
This was a bad idea, why didn't you think this through? There was one family ahead of you before you got to Monty. The family was too large to be able to go around, and if you back tracked you were sure Monty and his attendant would spot you. Your heart raced at your nervousness and only quickened when it was the family's turn leaving you completely in Monty's view. He seemed to stop everything he was doing when he laid his eyes on you. It wasn't until the youngest child of the family crashed into his legs for a hug that he snapped out of his trance.
You had never witnessed Monty interact with a family, let alone children, the sight was honestly pretty adorable. Monty kneeled down to the kids height and began talking with them, he also made sure to look up from time to time to include the whole family in the interaction. You were so caught up in watching the interaction that you almost didn't register the family taking their final poses with Monty and waving goodbye to him.
"Photo Pass?" Monty's attendant said boredly as he held out his hand awaiting the ticket.
"Oh! I-" You said as you looked at him nervously.
"She doesn't need one Tyler, she's a VIP" Monty said approaching the two of you.
"Ok then where's her VIP pass?" Tyler asked, annoyed.
Monty let out the lowest growl of annoyance that was almost inaudible.
"I can see it in my system" Monty stated as he stepped between you and Tyler "I'll be taking care of her from here on out, you can go"
"Whatever, I'll be there later to get you for the show" Tyler said.
After his statement he walked off to do god only knew what.
"C'mon" Monty said as he led you into his dressing room.
"So whatcha doing here princess?" He asked as he turned to face you.
"I-uh, I was just in the area..." You said nervously.
Why weren't you telling him the truth, you knew why, you didn't know how he would react to knowing you were on a date.
He let out a low growl as he backed you into the now closed dressing room door.
"Don't lie sweetheart it's not a good look on you" He said in a low tone, "Now lets try this again, what are you doing here?"
"I was on a date... with Alex" You said as you looked away from the animatronic in front of you.
You felt his hand come up to grab your chin, he directed your face so that you had no other choice but to look into his striking red eyes.
"Now why would you go out with a boy like that, when you COULD be going out with a man like me?" He questioned.
You opened your mouth slightly in attempts to respond but couldn't find it in yourself to form a coherent thought.
Monty leaned his face close to your to whisper in your ear, you could feel his hot artificial breath on your neck causing you to shiver.
"I saw you with him ya know" He said making your eyes widen "You will never be that bored with me"
You placed your hands on his shoulders to steady yourself. Monty took notice of this and placed his hands on your hips and held you steady against the wall. With his face already in a close proximity to your own he let his lips brush against your own.
"Just say the words princess."
You couldn't bring yourself to form a word so you decided to let your actions do the talking. Closing the space you allowed your lips to meet his own. Taking your permission Monty deepened the kiss and pressed you impossibly further into the door. While the kiss may have only lasted a couple of minutes, you were still disappointed when it ended. Letting out a small whine you looked up at Monty through half lidded eyes.
"What's the matter? Gator got your tongue?" He asked with a smirk.
Rolling your eyes you gave him a light shove. Monty being the flair for the dramatics that he was, flung his body back.
"I give you the best kiss of your life and this is how you repay me?" He asked in mock hurt.
"Who said that was the best?" you said playfully as you sauntered across the room to the bright green sofa.
Crouching low Monty pounced on top of you and placed his knees on either side of your legs and his hands rested on the back of the sofa beside your shoulders. Giving you a predatory grin he gazed down at you,
"Oh honey I KNOW that was the best kiss of your life" He said with a cocky grin.
"Oh shut up gator." you said as you pulled his face back down to meet your own for another kiss.
Using his impeccable strength Monty flipped your position in one easy maneuver to have you in the position he was previously in. He gently placed a hand on your cheek, to which you leaned into as you gazed at each other. Monty used his thumb to gently rub at your cheekbone.
"Don't go back to him." He said quietly.
"I have to" You said with a sigh "I can't just completely abandon him."
"You could..." Monty said trailing off as he squeezed your thighs with his large hands.
"Montyyyyy" You whined as you sat back on his lap.
"Moaning my name so soon princess?" He said with a smirk as he bounced you on his legs.
Shooting him a glare you began to push off of him.
"Ugh, wait" He said as he held you in place "I'll let you go, ONLY if you agree to go on a date with me on your next overnight shift"
"Is THE Montgomery Gator asking ME on a date?" You asked as you feigned fainting.
" You and ONLY you Princess" He replied with the most sincere smile you had ever seen.
Leaning down you pressed another kiss to his lips.
"Ok." you whispered as you slowly got off his lap "Now I really do have to go! I told him I would be going to the bathroom and I don't think it would have taken this long if I were telling the truth"
"Tell him El Chip got the best of you" Monty said with a laugh.
Giving him the middle finger you quickly raced out of his room back to Bonnie Bowle where Alex was waiting for you at the counter staring sadly into a half eaten banana split.
"H-Hey Alex, sorry about that, I got lost and then El Chip got the best of me." You said trying to be believable.
"Had me worried, I thought you may have skipped out on the date." Alex said nervously.
"Y-yeah sorry about that." You said "But the final show is starting soon, want to go see it?"
"Sure thing" Alex said with joy returning to his voice.
Surprisingly the two of you were able to find a spot on the floor relatively close to the stage. The usual announcement and pre show audio and visuals started up and hyped up the crowd for the impending animatronics. When the band had finally surfaced you couldn't help but keep your eyes glued to one in particular. He was now changed into his show costume and held his bass with pride. A blush crept its way onto your face as you recounted the events in Monty's dressing room not but 20 minutes prior. You knew he could see you from across the room as he looked directly at you with a smirk and shredded on his bass even harder. You were hardly aware of Alex screaming and cheering beside you as the performance continued on. To you Alex didn't even exist next to you, all you cared about was Monty and the way he made you feel.
Surely you weren't falling for an animatronic, were you?
