Guy

The next day.....

Every since the day I left Aaliyah at the hospital. It's been hard to get in contact with her lately like she's been purposely ignoring me.

I tried checking on her at her condo but she was never there when I did.

Between trying to find someone to take over my shop and trying to catch up with Aaliyah— I'm stressed the fuck out.

I even went up to the hospital yesterday morning before work but they told me I had just missed her.

I tried to FaceTime her for the 4th time as I knocked on her door with firm knocks. I exited out of FaceTime to send her some texts. Hundreds of my messages said delivered but they were never opened.

It was the afternoon and I left the shop early hoping to catch her before she could leave her place.

I gave her enough space to get her head together. I wanted to be there for her. She has no right to ignore me. I thought about pulling up to the cafe and talk to Alexus.

The parking spot in front of the shop was vacant so I parked there. There were a few people seated inside the cafe on their laptops and coffee cups in hand when I walked in.

Memories of when Aaliyah and I first met invaded my thoughts as I took in the cafe surroundings. Still looked exactly the same.

I spotted Alexus managing the employees and making sure their doing their jobs correctly.

She was behind the counter straightening things up before she spotted me walking over towards her.

I was hoping to run into Aaliyah here but it looked like Alexus was the only family member working today.

"Guy? What's up?—" She asked with a confused look on her stressed out face. "What would you like?" She asked me tapping the touchscreen register that was posted between us.

"Nothing. Can we talk over here?" I asked her. She nodded motioning for us to go towards the back of the cafe.

"What's up?" She asked as she sat down at her desk in her office chair.

"Have you talked to your sister?" I asked standing in the same place.

"Yeah, she came in earlier to check on me. Why? What's wrong?" She looked confused.
