Takehito was still, completely still. Some parts were healed more than others. It was splotches of blue and yellow and took up most of his back. The worst part was in the middle of his back, looking like a solid line of blue, the edges yellowing.
He was used to seeing Luc all bruised. Hell, he was a libero. It was practically a given. He even once gave him a black eye with a ball by accident in second year. Granted, Luc tended to be rather covered up, but he did occasionally show off his bruises.
But this was different.
This couldn't have come from volleyball. Especially when he hadn't come to practice for the last week. Suddenly, a thought hits him and Takehito's blood runs cold.
'Was this why he's been acting weird?!'
Luc finally finished, having yet to notice Sasaya was there. He did however when he turned around. When he saw the look on his face, the shorter paled.
"What are you doing in here?! Get out!"
"I brought you clothes...What the hell happened to you?"
"It's none of your business." He walks over, quickly taking the clothes "Now get out."
"No freaking way. Sit down." He opens the mirror cabinet, digging around for something.
"I'm not getting naked while your here. Out." Takehito ignores him and finally finds what he's looking for, a roll of elastic bandages and a tube of some cream.
"Sit."
"But-"
"Now." Luc opens his mouth but then shuts it. He sighs, taking a seat on the edge of the tub. Takehito sits behind him, setting down the bandages. He opens the tube and squeezes some of the cream on his palm "This is gonna sting a little." As soon as he touches him Luc winces but doesn't complain. As gentle as he can, Takehito carefully rubs the cream over the bruise. He wipes his hands then sets down the tube and then grabs the bandages "Arms up." Luc does with no protest. Takehito carefully wraps it around the bruise, then clips it in place. "There. Better?"
"....yes."
"Okay." he hands him the ice pack his Abuela had given him before standing up "I'll be my room. Go there when you're done." he leaves, shutting the door quietly behind him. He grabs the bag Luc had put down before heading to his own room. It was lighter than he expected. Curious, he opened it up. All he found was his switch which was still in its carrying case, his phone, the charger cables for both, and prescription pills. Strange, Luc was known for overpacking. To have so little is off.
He closes the bag, hanging it by the strap on his bedpost. Luc comes in a little while later, quiet and a bit sheepish. He's holding the icepack over his face. He takes a seat next to Takehito on the bed. They sit there, completely silent before the taller says what's on his mind.
"...What happened?"
"....I fell down the stairs a few days ago."
"And your eye?"
"I was helping my brother practice. He hit me in the face."
"...why can't you just tell me the truth?"
Luc looks at him angrily "I am!"
"No, you're not." Luc gets up, attempting to leave but Sasaya grabs his arms and pulls him into his lap.
"Takehito. Let go of me." He glares at him but Sasaya doesn't let go. He just grips tighter, making it impossible for the other to leave.
"Not until you tell me the truth. I'm tired of this. I'm tired of you lying to me and I'm tired of you hiding things. Now, what happened. Now." Luc is quiet, still glaring "I can sit here all night." He glares back and something in Luc snaps
