Yeji's Girlfriend

Two weeks had passed and everyone is practically talking to Ryujin nonstop except me. I just feel weird at the thought of conversing with her, knowing she has a girlfriend now. I don't want to make the same mistake I did when she was dating Karina.

"You and Ryujin don't have romantic feelings for each other? Then why are you two dating?" I overhear a conversation in the kitchen.

"We just agreed to it. We became friends then we got comfortable with each other so we decided to just be girlfriends" I'm assuming that's Winter who's speaking.

"I do care about her and she cares about me so why not?" Winter continues.

"Don't you want to date someone you have feelings for?" I think it's Karina that's with Winter.

"Have you been to the south kingdom? Even to visit?" Winter suddenly ask.

"No" Karina answers.

"You don't want to be alone when you're there. Life over there is hard enough as it is so you look for a companion. It just so happens that Ryujin and I were both needing someone at the same time. While the royal family enjoys the life of luxury, the people in that kingdom are suffering. The royal guards abuse their power, there's no one to enforce the laws so everyone thinks they can do anything."

"Then why would Ryujin go back there?" Karina ask and I start to wonder the same thing.

"She felt that was her only choice I guess."

"Prin—" I turn around and immediately cover the mouth of the person who tried to call me.

I don't want Winter and Karina to know I was eavesdropping. I peek my head and thankfully they didn't hear anything.

I drag Lia somewhere away from the kitchen, "What is it?" I ask clearly annoyed.

"Princess Minju is waiting for you in the entertainment room. I brought her there, I figured you two lovebirds would want to hang out" she winks.

"We do hang out. We play games and chat most of the time" I innocently say.

She sighs, "Just go over there. She's waiting for you."

She leaves so I make my way to the entertainment room.

"Hey, Minju" I say, walking in.

"Hey" she greets me at the door and kisses my cheek.

I did choose Minju over Yeonjun. I like the softer skin better even though Yeonjun is nice. He accepted and didn't make a scene or anything.

"I missed you" She pulls me in the room completely then shuts the door.

"I missed you too. I didn't know you were coming today" I sit on the couch.

"I wasn't planning to but I thought I'd surprise you" She sits next to me.

"Besides, I'm going on a trip so I don't know when I'll see you next" She cutely frowns.

I poke her cheek, "Don't frown. Where are you going?"

She sighs, "The kingdom down south, also known as hell."

"Is it that bad?" I ask, remembering what Winter said.

"I would have thought you would ask why I'm going there. I didn't expect for you to ask that. You must really care about people. You're a model Princess" She lightly laughs.

"I mean, I was going ask why you're going next" I nervously laugh because I don't know why I asked if it's bad first instead of asking why she's going.
