Chaeryeong and I are waiting for Minju to pick us up. I have to wear bulletproof vest, just in case they say which I'm not gonna lie kind of scares me because it means I could randomly get shot while I'm there.

"Have you been there?" I ask Chaeryeong.

"No, whenever there's business there, my dad doesn't let me go. I've only heard about it from Yuna and Ryujin."

"So when we get there, do not wander off. Stay by my side" she instructs me.

"I'm the Princess, you should stay by my side so I can go wherever I please."

"I better start planning your funeral" she teases me.

"What funeral?" Minju walks in.

"Nothing, she's just teasing me" I go to hug her.

"Are you ready?" She kisses my cheek.

"Ready as I'll ever be" I smile.

"We'll take separate cars. Chaeryeong can join my guard at the other car so we have some privacy" Minju informs.

"I don't know" I start to say.

"It's okay, Princess" Chaeryeong says then bows before leaving to go to the other car.

Minju helps me get in the car first. Once she gets in, she tells the driver to go.

"You should have a more professional relationship with your guard" she takes my hand so she can hold it.

I frown at her, "She's not just my guard. She's one of my best friends too. We grew up together."

"Isn't that weird? Your friend serving you?"

I don't know why she's saying this right now. I didn't know me being friends with the people working for my family was such a big deal. My parents doesn't care that I'm friends with them so I don't see the problem.

"Do you not like my friends?" I ask.

"I do. Never mind what I said. I'm sorry" she smiles at me.

That still bugs me a bit though. Why would she care that my friends are part of the royal staff?

I don't think much of it because I might just be overthinking it.

Minju and I arrive at the southern kingdom. I look around and this place is really not a in a good condition. Buildings look like they haven't been maintained properly. There's trash everywhere, the people look tired all tired and dirty.

"This is how their citizens live?" I ask Minju as I continue to look out the window.

"Sadly, yes."

"How long are we gonna be here?" I ask.

"Just overnight. I'm supposed to be here for the week but your dad won't let you be gone for that long."

"Ahh okay. I'm sorry" I apologize for running her original plans.

We finally arrive at the palace and it's completely different from the towns we drove by outside. The palace is clean and well maintained. The people in it are happy and clean. There's abundance of food in sight. So these people are living their best life while everyone is dying out there. My kingdom isn't perfect but it's not like this.

We get out of the car and Chaeryeong immediately stands by my side.

"Princess Minju" a tall man approaches us.

"Prince Lucas, nice to see you again" Minju greets him.

"Who do we have here?" He smiles at me.

"My girlfriend, Princess Yeji."
