The air had got hostile, almost suffocating for Tejasswi and Karan to stand each other. For her, it was emotionally hurting and for him, it was emotionally draining. They would have never expected to see each other after all these years. But for the record, they had one of the most fun first meets. It was just that destiny had played a dirty trick on them, writing their fate in the colors of darkness and exclusion from each other. And now that it wanted to amend and tie their broken strings, it was pretty late to rekindle what they shared initially.

Karan's grip around the steering wheel was deadly tight. The streams of sunlight stroked his right cheek through the windshield. His jaw was clenched and his eyes glared at the vehicle in front. He was literally breathing fire. And like always he was unresponsive to the entire world except his daughter.

"I told you, this was a bad idea," he heard his sister whisper into his mother's ears. He didn't react.

"Shut up," his mother smacked her hand. "You know I did this for them!" He didn't react.

"Mom, you could have at least prepared him for this. You know what happened, right?" Shreya chided her mother. He didn't react.

" She will be the best for them. You are just not able to see what I'm seeing," his mother hissed. Shreya was just as much as furious as Karan was. She grunted lowly. He didn't react.

"Mom, you are hurting your very own son," Shreya warned Shagun. Shagun's expression's faltered for a second. She recomposed soon but he still didn't react.

"I know, but I also know other than her no one can become Syra's mother," Shagun said as her chest rose in pride. He was seething but he refused to react.

"Mom, no one can replace Sitaara bhabhi's place," Shreya's jaw tightened at the utterance of her deceased sister-in-law. She was going to have no one take her bhabhi's place.

"She will not. Tejass-" Shagun was interrupted by a loud screeching sound as the car turned sharply around the edge of the road pushing them against the doors.

"Bhai"

"Karan"

"Papa"

Karan stomped on the break pedal as he turned to the shotgun. Syra's back was flushed against the door and the seat belt was twisted weirdly over her torso. His eyes shot up as he fumbled his her seat belt releasing her from it hold after unbuckling his to the side.

"Princess? Are you okay?" He breathed in relief as his daughter perched from her seat jumping onto him.

"yes, papa," Syra threw her arms around his neck as she hid her face in his neck crook. Karan placed a hand on the back of her head while the other wrapped around her middle. He patted her head.
