Tejasswi was quick to reach her home, her father's house. She was already meeting Anita outside the house. She didn't want to see her father. But when Shagun asked her to visit she couldn't say a no.

"Look at you, my baccha," Anita engulfed her in a tight hug. Tejasswi giggled as she put her arms around her mother's torso. The fragrance of scented camphor and fresh flowers hit her nostrils. She knew her mom was just done with her evening puja.

"Aai, you just met me two days ago," Tejasswi chuckled. Anita smacked her arm, pinching her face in annoyance. Tejasswi stepped out of the entrance.

"That's 48 Tejasswi missing hours," Anita mumbled earning a heart-felt laughter from her. Tejasswi threw her arms around her shoulder, turning her into the house.

" I am so excited you've come here," Anita gushed keeping her hand on Tejasswi's.

"You can say so," Tejasswi replied nonchalant. Anita knew she was refusing to come over.

"How long are you staying?" Anita asked as they reached the kitchen.

"2 hours," Tejasswi bit her lips, looking down.

"That's-" Anita's eyes widened in bewilderment.

"That's all I can offer," Tejasswi popped a cashew nut into her mouth. She focused o chewing while Anita huffed.

"We can always meet outside. I don't understand what's in this house that you want me to meet here only," Tejasswi twisted her lips n disdain hearing no response from her.

"How is Syra?" Anita asked diverting the topic. Tejasswi smiled in glee.

"Oh My God," Tejasswi jumped off the counter," she is an angel."

Anita listened to her keenly. She had this constant fear for her future. She was always skeptical what would happen if Syra never accepted Tejasswi. She was so glad Tejasswi found Syra. She was one of the few to actually know what happened 10 years back. Syra is the best thing that had happened to Tejasswi, and no one other than Anita would understand this.

"Sir, you have a parcel," Richa said after knocking and coming in. Karan eyed the parcel and licked his lower lip in anticipation. He looked back at Richa.
