Syra clapped her hands in glee when the registrar declared Karan and Tejasswi married. Everyone was happy except the married couples themselves. But there was one other person who was not very excited about their marriage, Shreya. She felt weird seeing Tejasswi beside Karan. What bit her guts more was the fact that Karan was tolerating Tejasswi. She wasn't a fan of Tejasswi even after the garlands of praises Sitaara had for her.

"You and Tejasswi can make an amazing duo, you know?" Sitaara mumbled. Shreya placed her head on her sister-in-law's shoulder and rubbed her arm.

"I want to meet her. Its been so long. We have never been this far. This is too much for me take," Sitaara sniffed and Shreya passed a tissue from the box. Shreya didn't want to judge Tejasswi when she failed to attend their marriage properly. In fact Shreya had only seen Tejasswi in photos from their old times and a faint memory of her coming and hugging Sitaara at their reception leaving her dear sister-in-law in a crying mess.

"Did you tell about her becoming an aunt? She'll fly down in a jiffy," Shreya offered. Sitaara bobbed her head up and down.

"The message is sent and read also. It wouldn't harm her to reply to me once, right?" Sitaara complained. Only these things mattered to Shreya and fueled her anger even more.

"What is it, a cold war?" Sitaara stressed, pressing her forehead. "Can't she just forgive me and come to me?"

Shreya's eyebrows perked in question.

"Forgiveness for what?" Shreya asked.

"I never told her about me dating Karan back then. As kids we used to share everything to each other and when one of us failed to uphold that we used to sit hours not talking to each other. But don't you think six-seven months is very long to ignore?" Sitaara turned to Shreya with glossy eyes.

"Definitely,"  Shreya kissed her cheek. That's the day when Shreya decided to hold Tejasswi responsible for Sitaara's tears and stress.

"Now, Teju," Shagun caught everyone's attention. Karan rolled his eyes knowing how much a fan his mother was of dailysoaps.

"This is a Kangan. Not ancestral or anything. I made it out of the gold coins I have been saving for 10 years to give away when I get a daughter-in-law for myself," Shagun said as she slipped the kangan into her wrist. Tejasswi looked at her awkwardly.

"Umm.. you sure? I mean I-" Tejasswi was a loss of words. She never knew she would be this comfortable at the idea of having her best friend's in-laws become her in-laws. She passed a polite smile. She was so confused as to how a stranger like Shagun accepted her in not time. What had she done? Did she deserve this love?
