Kie's POV:

Spring break was coming up fast and Quinn and I agreed to stay here and go explore California together. Cole was also staying on campus. I was so excited.

We had three days left of classes. Quinn was in class and I was only in my bra and underwear as Cole and I were making out. He was shirtless and so was admiring his abs.

The door suddenly opened and before we could move we were busted. Quinn wasn't supposed to be back for another hour. She was taking an exam. No one else had keys to our room. I looked up and JJ was standing there. Fuck! Out of all the people, it had to be him.

"JJ, what are you doing here?" I asked getting up

"I'm here to see Quinn for Spring Break" He said proudly

"Dude, can you give us a few minutes?" Cole asked annoyed as I got up and put my clothes back on

JJ laughed and said, "Whatever"

I handed Cole his shirt and he kissed me and said, "To be continued"

Suddenly, Quinn walked in and JJ kissed her and he said, "You're lucky you didn't walk in on what I did"

Quinn gave me a look and laughed and she said, "Cole this is my boyfriend and Kie's friend from OBX, JJ. JJ, this is Cole. He's Kiara's boyfriend"

"Boyfriend huh? Nice to meet you" JJ said giving me a look out of the corner of his eye

"You too" Cole said shaking his hand and there was definitely some weird tension between the two

Quinn suggested a double date and both guys were down. We went to the small restaurant on the beach and we all got a huge pizza to share.

"This is the best pizza ever" Cole said

"Best pizza ever was the one I had on Christmas eve" I said back to him and he looked confused and said, "I forgot, your families rich as hell. Must have been expensive"

JJ just laughed as he knew I was talking about the frozen pizza we shared. It wasn't the best pizza ever, it wasn't even close. It was just the memories that went along with it.

We all talked and ate way too much. We went back to the dorm room and had a few drinks and played games. It was time for bed and since we all were drinking the boys were staying, well JJ was going to stay and I was going to leave with Cole to sleep at his place. It was late and we were all exhausted and we were getting ready for bed. I was wearing one of Cole's t-shirts over a pair of spandex and I walked to the nasty community bathrooms to brush my teeth. On the way back, I passed JJ and he asked, "Why are you being so weird?"

"I'm not.." I said quickly

"Deny, deny deny, I guess I've taught you well" He said

"Shut up and go brush your teeth" I said changing the subject

"Can I borrow toothpaste?" He asked

I rolled my eyes as I handed him my toothpaste and I went back to my room. I laid in my bed with Cole and he pulled me closer to him. Quinn and JJ were laying in her small bed together and we all fell asleep. Cole was going to sleep in and so was JJ but Quinn and I had to get up early for our biology final.

I was ready and she was still sleeping. I told her over and over to get up but she wasn't listening. I crawled onto her bed and reached over JJ to shake her to wake her up. She opened her eyes and I said, "Bitch, get up our exam starts in fifteen minutes"

"One more minute" She said closing her eyes again

"No, Quinn! We need to leave right now" I said getting annoyed and she grabbed my arm that was supporting me and pulled me towards her which totally made me fall on top of JJ and wake him up.

"Wow, I could get used to waking up like this... Two girls in my bed" He said and Quinn laughed as she knew he was just kidding

"Fuck off" I said getting up and grabbing my backpack to leave

Quinn got up and we ran to our final together. Luckily, it was easy and we were both done. Spring break had officially started.

We went back to our dorm and the boys were still asleep. We woke them up and went to breakfast together and ate the nasty school food as we had to use up our money in the dining hall before the end of the semester.

We were going surfing after and we spent the entire day surfing and hanging out on the beach. Cole went back to the dorm to get more booze and Quinn went back in the water and I was alone with JJ.

"So how long have you had a boyfriend?" He asked the question he was dying to know

"October" I said and he gave me a look and shook his head as he took a sip of his beer

"What? You have nothing to be pissed about. You've been with Quinn for way over a year. I've done nothing wrong."

"And I have?" He asked

"I never said that, JJ. This, us hanging out on double dates is a bad idea"

"Why? Because you can't control yourself around me?"

"That is exactly why... Stop making those comments. We are both in commited relationships. I read the letters. If you wanted me like you said you did, you would have done something about it a long time ago. So stop with the flirty comments. I'm with Cole and I love him. Please don't fuck up my relationship" I said trying not to cry as I realized JJ didn't want me

"Kie.." He said quietly as he looked at me intense like he wanted to say something

"What?" I asked

"Nothing..." He said getting up and going into the water with Quinn

I grabbed my stuff and walked back to my dorm room hoping to pass Cole. I didn't and I was okay with that. I took a hot shower and changed into pajamas and I laid in my bed and pulled out the first letter he wrote me and I read it over and over again as I cried. I don't know what it hurt me so much. I also looked at the ring JJ gave me on Christmas. He gave me his moms rings. He never talked about his mom, but he told me about her and gave me the one piece of her that he had. I thought that had to mean something. I was stupid to think that JJ Maybank could ever love me.
