A feeling overwhelms him as he heads home. A feeling that something is about to happen. No, a feeling of something having happened. He walks quickly home, almost breaking the door by opening it so willfully. Screaming for Victoria Xilliorn walks into the house. How can she not be home Xilliorn thinks? She is the most punctual woman he has ever known. What did he say in his world they didn't have time like here. She was only impulsive when it was with him then she forgot all about the time and place where they were at that time. Maybe she is still in school he thinks first before he thinks again. "No, she couldn't be? Or had she followed them into the maze anyway?" Asked Xilliorn aloud as he ran back to school, back to where he was last, 'The Maze'.

He searched and searched until it got dark and he couldn't see anything. Xilliorn was worried to death and that feeling in his chest almost choked him inside. His body was telling him what he didn't even want to say or think, but it stuck with Victoria. They fight, they scream, they talk, but he loved her. He really loved her, that feeling so overwhelming that he couldn't sleep until the next morning to go back to find her with her mother with him. She was still dressed in her uniform, just back from the hospital, but she didn't want to sleep. She wanted to find her daughter! The most important person in her life. Xilliorn knew what Victoria meant to her she meant it to him too. Why hadn't he noticed her feelings and his own?

Because she was a teenage girl in college but she was not a teenage girl he had to correct himself because she was a woman. She was of an age to be a grown woman in his country. That woke him up when he went back to the maze. Searching for clues to find her. He stepped onto the damp grass and searched on the ground among the leaves, under the bushes everywhere.

Then the moon shone again in the high sky full as a round yellow ball of cheese, but he couldn't think or look at the moon without her. Victoria's mother had to be back at the hospital so she made him promise to search until he found her which he did.

Days passed and still, he had no idea where Victoria would be, he became sad and lifeless because of it. He did as he promised, looked for her, and did not sleep until he found her. Already sleep overtook him and made him sleep behind a tree in the university garden. The next morning he looked back into the forest for her. He even looked by the stream where she had first met him.

Days turned into weeks and he had to realize that he had to go back to school. Sad but he knew she would want him to. Art class became his favorite class, which was strange because he had promised to keep his dignity and kill him if he could but that didn't bother him the least bit anymore. He had completely forgotten about the feud between him and Professor Driondioris. He had even forgotten what he is and what he could do with these creatures which he still had not done until now. You would say they got a truce he even offered to help which Xilliorn immediately accepted not for himself but he knew Victoria would like it if he did.

One day exactly a month and a half later the girl who was suddenly gone is back. She even comes to him as if nothing happened, he had a feeling that she had something to do with it. It was Helsey who had also disappeared on the same day as Victoria and that was quite a coincidence.

"Everything okay?" She asked him in the happiest voice just like a child. He looked at her like she was crazy. How could she think everything was fine? All the posters on the school wall of Victoria she hadn't noticed? He knew she was fooling him and took her to a class not far away that was empty. He looked around the classroom at what had to be science. He saw a few microscopes on the desk when he pushed her against them causing a few to fall apart on the floor. He looked at them but he didn't care about any of it he just wanted to know what Helsey knew about Victoria's mysterious disappearance.

"Say it! Say what you know! It's too obvious that it's you who disappear on the same day as Victoria. And we all know how much of a fan you are of her". She shrugged and a small smile was on her lips. If he didn't have such good eyesight, he wouldn't have noticed, but he did.

"You know where she is! Tell me?" asked Xilliorn moving closer to her which made her cringe as she bumped hard against the edge of the table.

"Prince of me don't tell me you didn't figure it out. Are you that naive. Maybe you are," Helsey said in a crooked voice. He shook and looked at her more closely. She showed herself to him, her pointed ears her purple-violet hair, and her nose that should have been beautiful if it hadn't been crooked. Though inside she was like a rotten tomato you just want to throw away.

"Demondora." How had he not noticed her glammer. Why did he let her take Victoria? Horrified, he looked at her thinking about how he had made out with that awful princess witch. If he had known if he had not been so blind he would have seen that she was not a normal girl but a creature in disguise.

She pushed him off and stepped towards the door, "I'll see you later my prince."

He could not believe he had become so weak for he was still the warrior he was in his realm he had killed her for this betrayal but he was not he had become weak. Weak to a woman he did something he swore never to do. He went to art class not to paint or draw but to take the professor to help him defeat this princess. He asked the dragon for help so desperate, was he. Anything to throw that witch back to Berklia and save his girl Victoria.

After class was over he stepped into the classroom and stepped closer to Professor Drodorius who had already felt him approaching from afar, "what do you want Xilliorn," the professor asked as he turned to Xilliorn. They stood face to face as Xilliorn vowed with a hand to his heart not to kill him if he helped defeat this princess with him.

The dragon hiding in the professor's body could not turn down such an offer. He would be foolish if he did. An ode in his realm is binding and he knew he could go back and not have to fear for his life so much and be back a free dragon, enjoying life. Flying free again.

He nodded as he also placed his hand on his chest and made the same ode to Xilliorn. Which was also a sign of trust towards Xilliorn.

They both went back to the maze when the school had cleared and saw her standing at the entrance to the maze where she had hidden Victoria.

"You brought a dragon! How desperate you are," the princess chuckled as she picked up her sword from nowhere. It was a pointed sword a sword so pointed it could stab you like a needle.

Professor Drondioris changed. He showed his true form to Xilliorn and he hissed under his breath "Clorvis". He had made an ode to the dragon he had wanted to kill for years and now he couldn't do it. Xilliorn cursed as he watched him with his black and yellow eyes almost smiling at him. He knew he had done something stupid, but for now, he had to fight and put that anger and killing instinct behind him.
