Leah
I missed Nikolai. The longer I stayed away the more my yearning grew. The cold water helps. Relaxed. A feeling I felt as the cool water ran down my back. Thud - Thud - Thud, a fist hammered against the bathroom door.
"Aren't you done yet? You've been in their for a good while now. Come on Lee, I have to shower too you know." Seth says. I growl, can't he take a hint.
I walked out of the shower humming a lively tune. Seth glared at me, I ignored him. He'll get over how long I was in the shower; I hope. In my room, I got dressed in a black long sleeve sheer overlay corset and a dark turquoise plaid mini - skirt with black combat heels. Lazily I brush my hair. There is a slight tapping on my bedroom door, I didn't pay no attention to it. But it came again, louder, like a woodpecker pecking an hole in a tree. I glared at the door.
"Come," I growl.
The door cracks open and Seth pokes his head in. He grins.
"Sis, lets go!"
Leave it to Seth to be thrilled about going somewhere. Rolling my eyes, I slid off the chair and move passed him.
"Race you to the jeep!" He hollers as he pushes past me.
"Seth!" I scream. He laughs. When I reach in the jeep he stood leaning against the passenger door.
"Yeesh, what took you so long?" He asks. I ignored him. I drive keeping quite listening to Seth yap about how much he can't wait to see mom. I couldn't wait to see her too, but I wasn't excited to sit in a room with Edweirdo and his submissive wife. I still didn't like those two.
I drove in front Charlie's house and mentally muttered a prayer of thanks that the leech's silver Volvo isn't park there. Seth and I was greeted at the door. Our mom stood at the looking happy. She had this golden glow; she seems to have attained a small amount of fat on her slender flesh. I watch silently as she kisses both Seth's cheeks and make a fuss over him not eating enough. When he finally got inside she stops me.
"Wow," she murmurs.
"Hi, mom." I said. She smiles, her eyes lit up. She hugs me me tightly.
"I missed you so much darling."
We went in the house together. Charlie was busily setting the table. Surprisingly, Seth was helping him. A scrumptious aroma drifted from the kitchen. Fried fish. My favourite dish. Mom allowed us to eat after Bella called to say she would be coming a little late because Renesmee is 'sick'. Of course only her dad believed her story. They were only arriving late because vampires don't eat. Little conversations were attempted to be started by mom; Seth and I ignored them, the food was too good to pause for a few meaningless chit chat. Around an hour later Seth, mom, Charlie and I sat in the living room.
The room being small with little seating capacity, allowed Seth and I to sit on the floor without mom creating a fuss. Things had changed since I have been here last Christmas. Charlie repainted the living room to a cool blue color. It resembles sky blue, I like it. The couch he and mom are sitting on have been upholstered to jade green couch that features elegantly flared arms and richly detailed accents and carvings. I bet mom was in charge of this. Even a carpet is in here. Seth glimpses a monopoly game box under the coffee table and pulls it out. He grins at me, a mischievous glint rebels in his eyes.
"Hey mom, Charlie... Leah and I want to entertain you in a game of monopoly game. Come watch Leah get her ass -" Seth is cut short.
"Language!" Mom yells.
"You know what Seth bring it on, make sure you can stand loses." I said.
"Lets wager."
"No gambling." Mom says, this makes Charlie laughs.
I smile at mom trying to protect Seth from the gambling world. If only she knew how much he and the other guys bet against. We set up the board game and began the thrilling activity. No sooner than we started a sick, deadly sweet scent of the leeches enters the living room. I focus on Seth and I monopoly game, on the floor, ignoring our growing audience. Our game gave me a few smiles and happy memories. I knew Bella watched us with interest, maybe wondering how long Seth and I playful rivalry could continue before the of us became bankrupt. Our game continue for a few minutes before I lost to my adorable brother Seth. Seth,of course, is extremely elated. Mom gave us cookies and milk, to 'cheer' me up. I knew better, mom is playing with our emotions. I wonder what she has up her sleeve.
"Seth, Bella, Leah, Edward." Charlie says. My attention automatically shifts to him and my mother sitting on the couch. I moved closer to Seth to have a better view of them.
"Charlie and I have an announcement." Mom says, her eyes shines with love. Charlie nods at her. "Well you see Charlie and I are getting married."
"I'm going to have a new dad." Seth says smiling. He has always liked Charlie.
"Congratulations." Edward says. He looks sincere.
"I'm very happy for both of you." Bella says.
"It's about time, congrats." I say. Everyone stares at me shocked.
"What?" I asks, raising an eyebrow.
"Nothing." They mumbles. I ignored them. I turned my attention to mom. I meant what I said, as long as my mom is happy I'm cool with her choice. After all she is an adult.
"I have a surprise for you Charlie." Mom says, looking crazily happy. Ecstatic, even.
"What is it, Sue?" He asks.
"Well ... I'm pregnant."
The whole room was instantly filled with silence, I could hear a pin drop. A few seconds passed before Charlie reacted.
"That's great, Sue." He slowly says. That's when it hit me like a time bomb. She's really pregnant. That means a baby. A cute adorable baby. That gets to call Seth and I siblings. A baby that has mom and Charlie as parents. Charlie. The baby's father is Charlie makes him have another sister. Bella. Ew, Bella will become my sister. Now I not only have to share my mom but my brand new shiny sibling. I saw red.
"WHAT?! Mom, but I'm too old for a newborn sibling." I screams.
"Leah, it's not so bad." Seth says. I glared at him.
"Yes, it is, Seth. Not only I have to have her," I point at Bella, "as a sister. I have to share a brother or sister with her too. How is any of this fair?"
"ENOUGH?!" Mom yells. "I have reach my breaking point with your attitude, Leah. What has Bella ever done to you? Nothing. It's not like she hurt you. She didn't. You just spend your time hating everyone and not the bitch you have all the right to hate. Now I want you both to go up stairs and work out your issues." Mom scolds. I was taken back. Mom never utters the word, bitch. She hates the word.
"But -"
"No buts, Leah. Upstairs."
Under my breath I mumble some profanities as I moved closely up the stairs behind Bella. Can this day get any worse?
