Leah
Hew. I thought as the food beyond recognition stared back at me from the toilet. I groaned weakly as I got off my knees. Ever since I got back last week my health has been deteriorating. Slowly. Today it seems to be worse. This is my third trip to the bathroom and it's not even eight. I know my pack mates are getting suspicious of the weird detour of my eating habits. But I manage to eat like I was okay this morning, this is the result. Can this day get any worse?
I glared at the two pink lines willing silently for them to vanish, Nikolai's theory was now not just right but right on all counts. This most definitely could not be happening.
"What does it say?" Leloopa asks impatiently, as she sat cross legged behind the closed bathroom door.
I look up at her very concerned coffee eyes. "Positive." It came out as whisper but her sensitive ears pick it up.
Leloopa sucked in a gust of air and close her eyes tightly making wrinkles appear faintly before opening them.
"Okay. Okay. False alarm, if it happens to humans it can happen to shifters too," thrusting another in my hands. "Pee on this." She hands me another stick.
"It won't be any different from the last six." I tell her glancing at the other six in the tiny bin.
Leloopa runs her hand through her hair, tugging it slightly. "Oh man, what are we gonna do!"
"Well, for starters I'm gonna see Carlisle at the hospital."
"But-"
"No. I have to see Carlisle."
Taking up the bag of empty boxes and used pregnancy sticks and tied the bag.
Once on my room I throw on an old sweater after feeling chilled and a light acid- washed ripped jeans. I left my room in daze. Being pregnant still didn't connect to me and maybe visiting Carlisle (at the hospital) and allow him to confirm it. I allowed Leloopa to drive me to the hospital. On the way, we stop to and buy milkshakes before continuing our journey. As Leloopa and I entered Forks Hospital I was greeted by the memory of my last visit here.
"Leah, what a lovely surprise, how can I help you today?" Carlisle asks pleasantly.
"Um, uh, I actually wanted to. Well, I wanted to know if you could determine if I am infertile." I answered his question reluctantly after Jake pushed my shoulder.
"I can, when you available to do this?"
"Uh. Can we do it today."
"Sure. First we'll have to discuss how we would go by this and which method you would be comfortable with."
"So basically, there are many ways to do this?"
"Just two ways."
"What are those ways?"
"Well, the simplest way is a blood test to check the hormone levels. Or you could do an endometrial biopsy, to check the lining of the uterus."
"What is an endometrial biopsy?"
"An endometrial biopsy is a way to take a small sample of the lining of the uterus. The sample is then looked at under a microscope for abnormal cells."
"How is this done?"
"Several ways. I however recommend the two most reliable ways. For the first way, I'll have to use a pipette to suction of sample of the lining of the uterus. This method though is known to cause cramping. The other is Vabra Aspiration. This is an electric suction device, unlike the other method this one is rather uncomfortable."
