A/N: The amount of times I want to put this story on Hiatus but I do love this fanfic by heart. Not to mention this was the first fanfic I wrote during the pandemic. Also, I list down the fanfics I will be writing on this account and I hate putting stories in the "not continued" section, it's a great pet peeve of mine lol. SO ANYWAYS I WILL JUST WRITE THIS AND FINISH IT.

"Let go, Adonis" You try to escape from his type grasp and he did causing you to back away with extreme caution. You clicked your tongue and hid the scalpel back in your bag. "I'm just making sure she won't tell on anyone. Now move out of the way if you don't wanna get hurt, Adonis." Killua threatened "What makes you think she'll tell anyone?" Adonis questioned, crossing his arms and looks at Killua.

Clearly I might, this guy literally killed someone.

But on second thought, they might not be able to pass the next phase since they're just gonna die anyways.

"Who knows! She might! Now move out of the way before I kill you" This threat coming from Killua didn't seem to scare Adonis one bit. That just shows by the scary tension and air coming from Adonis alone. Before Killua could even do anything, you spoke up.

"I won't tell anyone. I promise. So please don't hurt him."

Your look was serious when you said this, Killua looked at you for a bit, not trusting you. Your serious look never left. Adonis looked at you and back at Killua "She already said she won't tell anyone, now cut her some slack" When Adonis spoke up for you once again, Killua got irritated. "The hell is your relationship with her anyways?" The white haired boy asked. The question made you look at him, curious to what he was going to answer. Adonis was silent for a moment before speaking up. "My relationship with her has got nothing to do with you" He bluntly answered, but with that silence he had a couple of seconds ago. He was definitely hesitant to say his true answer.

Killua scoffed and walked past both of you, still half naked and with his shirt in hand. "Whatever" You heard him mutter as he walked away and both you and Adonis watched him. As soon as he was gone, you spoke up.

"You didn't have to interrupt" You said, looking at him and he looked back at you. "If I didn't interrupt you'd be dead by now." He retorted back.

You?.

"Me? I can handle him myself" You saw him walk away and you followed him.

Pretty sure the other people will handle the two corpses laying on the floor with blood splattered around.

"With just that medical thing, you can't beat him" Is he underestimating you?.

"Correction, it's called a scalpel, Mister Adonis. Put that in your brain dictionary. Second of all, I'm strong enough to at least tackle him on the ground! I'm not that weak." You caught up to him that you're walking side by side. He sighed and stopped walking and looked at you. "(Y/N), I'm not saying that you're weak, I'm saying that you're not on the same level as him, well, not yet anyways. Second. Killua is an assassin, born in a family of assassins." He explained.

You were about to ask his relationship with that white haired boy, but judging how that ended minutes ago, you kept it to yourself. "Your skills are different from each other, not to mention fighting here will get you in trouble" He finished his sentence and finally walked away.

He's got a point with the last one.

You gave up and sighed, following him "Why are you still awake anyways?" You asked him. "Why are YOU awake?" He shot back the question. "I was about to get some water but got interrupted with that" You answered looking at him. "Your answer?" You raises a brow at him and he didn't looked back at you "I couldn't sleep" he stopped in front of another door and you could tell that this wasn't the room you slept in before.

"Sleep here instead, it's more comfortable" He opened the door with that looked like a living room of some sort. Your eyes widened.

Sleeping on a couch is still comfortable but at least it's better than sleeping on the floor.

"Wha-" You were speechless to even continue, you looked at him "Why did you-" "just accept it." He pushed you gently inside "We have a big day tomorrow. So rest as much as you can" Before he left, he handed you a handkerchief. You took it hesitantly and watched him leave.

You stood there really confused.

First, that guy said that you should act like strangers once the exam starts

Now he's here, letting you sleep somewhere that's better than the wooden floor. Not to mention it's peaceful, too and it has a window that allows you to look outside.

"What is up with him?.." You muttered, looking at the purple colored handkerchief that's on your palm. "And why did he gave this to me?" You let our a sigh and immediately smelled blood coming from you, you looked down and saw the blood on your shoes.

'Did he...'

The question filled your mind. You wondered and it made you think.

'He noticed this?..'

Knowing that the blood was already dry, you went to place the cloth in water using the two bottled water laying on the bedside table. Once the blood was almost gone, you stopped and rinsed the cloth. A sigh escaped your lips and you plopped yourself down on the couch, noticing the other couch across from the coffee table in front of you, you decides to improvise.

You used the strength that you have left and moved it away and then moved the other couch, connecting two couches together to make it more comfortable to sleep in.

When that was solved, you closed the lights, and plopped down on the bed again. Tired from tonight and all the running around, you immediately fell asleep again.

~

Adonis entered your room, it was dark and the only light that was coming from is from the window. He just retrieved your bag and instrument from the other room. "Should've made you sleep here earlier instead of letting you sleep in that crowded room filled with perverted bastards" He muttered, placing your belongings on the table.

He sighed and noticed that the two couches was moved and joined together and the coffee table was moved elsewhere in the room. It impressed him that you were able to move those heavy objects on your own. The boy walked up to you and immediately stopped midway, not wanting to look like a creep.

"You could have called me to help so that you didn't have to move all these heavy things" He mutters.

He walked out of the room and came back with a blanket. Adonis walked up to you and placed the blanket over your sleeping body to warm you up. Once he was done, he headed towards the door, his hand gripping the doorknob. He glanced at your direction, muttering a couple of words before leaving the room, closing the door behind him and letting you sleep.

"Good night, (Y/N)"
