I entered the room I had decided to take first. As I entered the room, the door loudly shut behind me causing my ears to ring.
I grunted and covered my ears at the loud noise. Once I have felt my ears are okay, I looked around the room.
The room was painted quite nicely. I see texts carved onto the right side from me. I walked up to it.
My fingers dragged my fingers on each word, feeling the dent lines and curves. The feeling of this is always satisfying as it was how I learned. My teacher would write words on a tree bark and I would trail my fingers down on it. I would still do it despite having my fingers cut so many times.
"A philosophy of continue improvement becoming one percent every day"
Typing answer. . . .
Kaizen
My brain went blank immediately as I couldn't understand what it meant. "Seriously?" I sigh, looking around, every inch and every corner of the room for clues. I walked up to the wall and dragged my fingers across the bricks, one by one in order to feel something that can give me a clue. If this is about just thinking about the answers with at least zero hints.
Then maybe figuring this out with two people would have been a great idea.
I looked up and saw numbers written on the ceiling. I examined it and immediately typed in my answer.
The door behind me shut open so I exited the room. When I walked out I noticed how (Y/N) has already made some progress, I couldn't help but feel impressed.
She has both skills and strength. Not bad.
I'll give her all the credit for that.
I saw a colored line coming from the first door that she has chosen. She was able to figure it out. I hurriedly went to the next room so I could get on with the next riddle for me to answer. I entered the room, it was completely different from the pervious one. I guessed that each room have different vibes depending on the riddle so that it will fit the theme of the said riddle. Quite creative I must say.
The brick walls of this room was designed with plains with the view of the sunset, this kind of painting was painted on the wall on my right and left side only though. The wall in front of me, where the riddle or 'quote' is written inside a golden frame. The wall behind the frame was painted with black and white, but there was a cage painted in the middle with the color of bright red designed with some light silver glitter. There was also a woman or.. should I say a little girl trapped inside the cage, wanting to get out, clearly. I went over to the frame hanging on the wall.
"She was desiring to change her life, but couldn't do it if her loved ones weren't free from their wrong paths and point of view. She was trapped, yet, she couldn't do it as the enemies that represented her own fear, has trapped her in a golden cage where 'he' would slowly sneak in to slowly melt the lock of the golden cage"
I raised a brow, this must be the feeling of the girl and it was painted on this wall in front of me. I stood there, thinking for a moment as the only thing I can hear was the sound of my digital watch. Time was definitely ticking and I didn't even bother to look at the time. A small hum escaped my lips, if I was the girl, what kind of word would I describe it?.
Well clearly I would already describe it as hell and a dark place where I can't breath in nothing but cold air. Sometimes I might not breathe. Considering that this is a riddle though, maybe. pretty sure that the word describing this would be really deep at least. Alright Adonis, you've memorized the dictionary, what kind of word would you think this would be? I looked at the sentence again. A desire to change. If I change that a bit, maybe a desire to change one's life. I got my answer.I then typed the answer with the use of my digital watch. It's a pain to type on this small thing that's for sure. When the answer was typed in as correct, the door behind me opened once again. Before I could even walk out, I saw a red and glittery color type filling up the line under my feet. I turned around and saw the once red colored cage turn into a golden color, the gate of the cage was open. Does this mean that I have freed this girl from her cage?.
I stared at the painting before finally walking out and straightly went to the last and final room so we can finally get out of here. I better not keep her waiting if she finished before me. This very last room was filled with golden strings surrounding the walls, it's not painted, there are literal golden strings hanging at certain parts of the room. I walked up to one of them. My own touch feeling the soft thread. The riddle was written on a rope that is hanging next to the door.
'' 2 themes, yet they have the same story telling"I was very confused. This time I took a good look at the room and saw books laying around. I walked up to them and picked some of them, examining each one by one in hopes of getting a clue.
Literature
Fiction
Those were the books that are scattered around the flooring. I grabbed the rope and pulled it with force, causing the walls to color. Now I feel like that I am in a forest. The forest on my left side was designed in a more dark and depressing theme while the other was more lighter and autumn feeling. It made me sick knowing that these two must have different meaning. Reading fiction is very much not my forte, but literature? Maybe. I tried to look for more clues and there were nothing, maybe the painting is just my only clue then.
It took me about five minutes to figure it out what it is, when I typed in the answer, the door opened and the line was filled with a orange color, I walked out of the room and there I saw (Y/N) sitting net to the stone with her eyes closed. A soft sigh escaped my lips and walked up to her but her eyes already opened as soon as she heard my footsteps getting closer and closer. She yawned and looked at me. "Are you finished?" She asked, rubbing her eyes, her hand gripped on the stone and pulled herself back up on her feet. "Yeah, come on" As expected the exit door opened.
Second POV
You and Adonis walked down the hallway of the exit. both of you saw another door in front of both of you, blocking your exit. Adonis tried opening the door but it wouldn't budge. "Here let me try" You said, Adonis took a couple of steps back and you walked a couple of steps forward, your hands gripping on the warm knob that was caused by Adonis' grip on it as an attempt to open. You used all your strength and you were able to open the door.
You grinned proudly and cheered to yourself, you turned around to see the reaction on Adonis' face but he seemed un-impressed by it. Well that's how you see it anyways. he walked past you and fully swing the door open and walked ahead.
'Jeez no reaction what so ever?'
As you both enter, you two ended up being in a small room. There were two sofa's, a coffee table, bookshelves filled with books, a TV along with a gaming console and a huge timer on the metal wall. "Hm, looks like we have to stay here" Adonis said with his arms crossed, noticing an extra metal door being locked. Adonis looked at you to wait for your reply but your eyes were fixated on the books to see what kind of books are there in the shelf. He stared at you for a moment.
He definitely felt the corner of his mouth twitch upward.
