CHAPTER TITLE: blood stained hands

"(Y/N) slow down." You stopped talking as soon as he said that, closing your mouth as he let out a sigh of frustration. "Okay, I'm sorry" He started "Look, now is not the best time for that. Alright? I'll explain as soon as I can but right now, it's not the time" You crossed your arms clearly not satisfied by his answer. Not even a little bit.

"Alright" You sigh "get to the point, why are you here?" You raised a brow, trying to get your composure together. "I saw a man hanging" He bluntly said, causing you to flinch. "I also saw a bloody corpse, that was you.. wasn' t it?" The question caused you to look away. You were sure that he would know that he would find out about that. He did see you kill of course. "Now that I think about it, you don't seem to hesitate to kill" This made you bite the inside of your lip. You were hesitant. Killing people is not your forte, but if it meant for your safety then so be it.

Right now, you are guilty because of the people that you killed.

"If it means for my safety then I'll not hesitate to kill" You told him, starting to walk so you can go back to Kurapika and Gon. "(Y/N)" He called out and you stopped on your tracks for a bit, ready to hear what he had to say. "Just so you know.. I'm sure that you're used to having blood on your hands" With that he walked off, going wherever he wanted to go. You stood there in silence.

"You're used to having blood on your hands"

"In fact... I am.."

"(Y/N)!" Gon called as you walked out of the forest "The place is all clear" You inform them, acting as if you didn't just have an interaction with Adonis. "Good to know" Kurapika smiled and you looked at the cave. "How long has time passed?" You asked "About ten minutes" The blonde answered, you nod in response and continued to wait.

There was still nothing coming from Leorio, who was still inside.

"He's taking too long," You pointed out as you, Kurapika, and him stood in front of the cave. "Is Leorio okay?" The boy standing beside you asked, "It's been nearly 30 minutes." You and Kurapika looked at each other. "We'll go in if he still won't call or come out" You removed your harp and placed it beside a tree.

"Kurapika! Gon! (Y/N)! Don't come in!"

The call coming from Leorio caused the three of you to be on guard, Gon and Kurapika headed in first. "H-Hey! Wait! Don't just go in like that-" And there they go. You groan a bit "oh come on!" You checked your surroundings before following them going into the cave.

The three of you ended up stumbling upon Leorio on the ground with dark marks along with some snakes on the ground, still moving around but they're already cut from their body. "Leorio!" You quickly checked on his condition. The tall young man looked at you and the others as beads of sweat created and fell down from his forehead. "You fools. Why did you enter the cave?" He asked. "They're vipers. They're poison isn't that strong. But he's been bitten too many times!" Gon explained grabbing Leorio's left arm, biting on one of the bite marks to suck off some of the venom out by spitting it.

"Stop it. If you have any cavities or open wounds in your mouth..." Leorio struggled to speak. Gon looked at him and smiled reassuringly, showing his teeth. "Leorio" You look at him "Do you have any serums?" You asked. "If I did, I would have saved you guys.." slowly losing more of his strength, he fell unconscious. "Leorio!" "Anyway, we have to stop the bleeding!" Kurapika hurriedly instructed "Please move aside" You grabbed his suitcase and opened it, taking the bandages out.

'I have no anti-venom medicines, all I can do for now is treat it.'

Your hands were shaking as you took out a clean handkerchief from your bag and a bottle of water that you were able to get when you were at the airship on the way to the tower. Gon and Kurapika watched as you poured some water on the cloth. You looked at both of them, "can you remove his shirt please?" You requested. Both of them nodded and unbuttoned his shirt and you started to apply the wet cloth on the bite marks. You checked your bag and the medical needs you currently have just in case but of course there was nothing for snake bites.
