"Honestly, waiting in that room was a waste of time" Adonis yawned. "At least we get to sleep and rest. All that walking and fighting is honestly tiring" You told him, both of you walking down the hallway. "Though, I wonder what made us wait that long" You thought. "I guess most of the other puzzles have rooms like that. The waiting, I'm not sure. Maybe to add pressure into reaching the goal before the timer runs out because waiting there did kill a lot of time" he explained.

"You're right on that" You agreed, looking at him. You reached the end of the hallway and saw a stone door, both of you looked at each other then it opened, leaving you to the exit.

The other members are already there, some of their eyes were on the both of you "Looks like we made it in time" Adonis commented and looked at you, only to see you frown on how you didn't saw Gon and the others. "We still have more time, how about you get some rest for now?" he asked. 

"You look like you haven't had a good sleep" 

'Yeah because I have to check on you to make sure you're not dead.' 

"Not it's alright" You reassure, stretching your body and sat down on the stone floor,, leaning against the hard wall. Adonis just shrugged his shoulder and leaned against the wall. The eerie silence made you a bit uncomfortable as time passed by.

When there were only about five minutes left in the clock, you can't help but feel worried that Gon and the others were not yet at the goal. When there was only two minutes remaining, you heard one of the last two doors open, quickly getting your attention. Your head jolt up and look at the door, seeing Gon, Kurapika, and Killua. A smile spreads across your face. 

"Kurapika, applicant #404, is the twentieth to pass. Killua, applicant #99 is the twenty-first to pass. Gon, applicant #405, is the twenty-second to pass. Total time seventy-two hours and fifty-nine minutes." 

You noticed their dirty clothes, causing you to tilt your head "They made it" Adonis commented "And their clothes were dirty, I wonder what happened" You stood up and looked at Adonis "Do you-" before you could even continue the question, he just looked at you "It's alright, I have no business with them, you can stay here." He reassured you, you nodded and walked up to them. "Hey you guys!" You greeted making the three look at you. "Oh, (Y/N)! You made it!" Gon cheerfully said "Yeah! I thought you guys weren't gonna make it" You told them. 

"Was yours hard?" Kurapika asked, crossing his arms "Well, no, not really. Just a bunch of puzzles and riddles here and there" You shrug your shoulders. "You guys are a mess, what happened?" You asked them "Well, we just had to go a different route, that's all" Kurapika answered, looking at you with a smile. "That was really close" Gon said "My hands are covered in blisters" The blonde said with a small chuckle. 

"Same here" 

Leorio's voice came, causing you to look at the path they took, only to see Leorio and Tonpa pushing each other side to side. Well, your smile dropped as soon as you saw Tonpa. "Oh, you were with that guy?" You asked, voice suddenly growing a bit cold. Gon laughed awkwardly "You could say that" He answered. "I'm surprised he didn't even died" Kurapika looked at you "Now, now, (Y/N)). You don't have to be rude" He said.

First of all, you don't trust this guy, most especially that he tried to give you and Adonis a drink that could possibly poison you and give you one hell of abdominal cramps and worse of all diarrhea during the first phase. 

not to mention you already deal with severe pain every month, too. so the laxatives would just make it worse for you. 

And second of all, his voice and 'kind' acting really annoys you to the core. You weren't sure about the voice part but something about it just made you want to punch the guy in the face. You felt bad that they have to deal with someone like him for this phase, though, at the same time relieved because you don't have to deal with him. From the looks of it, Kurapika, Gon, and Killua were completely not bothered by him. Leorio, however, is completely tired from Tonpa's presence. You can't blame him, you'd be tired if Tonpa was on your team, too. 

"Leorio, applicant #403, is the twenty-third to pass. Tonpa, applicant #16, is the twenty-fourth to pass. Total time, seventy-one hours and fifty-nine minutes." 

Once they got through, Leorio showed his hand "My hands are blistered, but all five of us cleared the tower together" he then placed one on Gon's head. "All thanks to Gon!" He said, earning a small giggle and a bright smile from Gon. "What happened? Looks like you guys went through a tough time" You ask, looking at them. "We entered a long and difficult path then cut a hole in a wall, to sneak into a short and easy path." Kurapika explained. 

"I see.." Was the only thing that can come out of your mouth. You looked at their hands, seeing all the blisters 'They did that with a short remaining amount of time? I'm surprised.' You smiled, looking back at them. "Well, then, congratulations on passing the third phase" You clapped. "You said you did some riddles for yours, right?" Kurapika asked. "Were they hard?" You hummed a bit and moved your hand from side to side, shrugging your shoulders. "You could say that it's average. I was able to answer" You said. 'Though, Adonis also takes the credit, we did work together after all, well. somewhat work together.' From the corner of your eyes, you looked at Adonis just leaning against the wall with his eyes closed. 

"The third phase of the exam is over. Twenty-seven applicants have passed."

A/N: Ah! Finally another chapter done, I just wanted to say thank you for 1k+ reads! I really appreciated it. Even though this book really takes a lot of motivation to write, I'm still happy for the milestone it is currently in!. Honestly, this arc was hard to write and I'm already scared if the rest will be worse, looking at the list of fanfics I have on my notes. This one and the next book after this is the hardest fanfic to write. (I'm close to dropping this book)
