12: megumi's little adventure

"Young master Megumi, where do you wish to go?" Nao, the former captain of Hyousuke's elite unit and currently works as his master's secretary, was tasked to babysit the little master for the day.

Hyousuke had gone to Sendai for work and he brought Megumi with him. Meanwhile, Tsumiki was over at their neighbor's house having a sleepover with her friend. And Toji... well, that guy had to watch over the house.

Well, more like he disliked going to crowded areas with a passion.

And so, while Hyousuke worked, little Megumi went on an adventure around Sendai with Nao as his bodyguard!

Megumi walked down the sidewalk, hand clasped around the strap of the side bag he wore. The people who saw him made way for him, finding the little child marching down the street adorable with his little steps.

Walking three steps behind him was a man in formal wear, giving the people an idea of what kind of status the little boy had. From the quality of his hair down to the quality of his footwear, they screamed luxury to the world.

The passerbys concluded that the little child had a formidable background and thus, they stayed far away from him to avoid accidentally offending the boy. After all, despite the man looking harmless like a bunny behind him, he gave off a dangerous vibe.

As if the slightest frown on the boy's lips would have them meeting death in an instant.

Little Megumi, of course, was oblivious of their thoughts and believed that the people of Sendai were incredibly polite.

They passed by several shops and Megumi was tempted more than a dozen times to buy many gifts for his family — well, just one for his old man.

"Nao-niichan."

"Yes, young master?"

"Where's the park?"

"... the park?" Confusion rippled in Nao's eyes yet still point the way for Megumi.

The little one marched towards the direction Nao pointed.

Earlier that week, Megumi overheard his Mama Hyou speaking with his kindergarten teacher. The teacher told his Mama Hyou her concerns; about how Megumi rarely interacted with his classmates and barely even says a word in class unless he was called on.

Mama Hyou was very worried.

When Megumi saw him making such a face, little Megumi decided that he would make friends!

Well, just one.

Talking was exhausting.

As well as interacting with others.

He was already contented with his family sans the old man.

But Megumi disliked worrying his mama. If his mama was happy if he made a friend, Megumi was more than happy to.

Of course, he had his own standards for a friend.

One! That friend should be someone who never runs out of topic because Megumi expected his new friend to keep the conversation alive.

Two! That friend must be nice and loveable but not too loveable that they'd steal his mama's attention away.

Three! That friend must not get scared of his old man if they ever sleep over at Megumi's house.

Four! Uh, that friend must like him..?

Soon, Megumi and Nao reached the park.

There were several children at the playground. When Megumi approached them with a determined look, Nao felt pride bubble at the pit of his stomach.

His little master, who disliked social interaction, seemed to be on a mission to make a friend by the end of the day!

If Hyousuke-sama could see him, he'd be so happy! Thus, to make his master happy, Nap secretly took a video.

Megumi clenched his fists, determination painting his face but when he saw those some of those kids eating a piece of potato chip that fell to the ground; his determination deflated in an instant.

You know what, I think Mama's not that worried.

Eh, Nao blinked when he saw the little master walking. Y, Young master, why are you going back? Weren't you determined to make a friend just a few seconds ago?! What's with this sudden change of attitude?!

Before Megumi could reach Nao, a voice from behind halted him in place.

"Hi!" Exclaimed a squeaky voice. "Are you new here?! I haven't seen you before!"

When Megumi turned around, he saw... pink.

This made the little master blink and furrow his eyebrows in confusion. After a handful of seconds, Megumi snapped out of his stupor. "En."

"Oh! Did you just move here?! I know a lot of awesome places!" Pride swelled inside pinky's chest as he puffed it out with a look of smug.

Megumi snorted, a little amused. "Okay. Take me to see one."

"Yay!" Pinky exclaimed in excitement.

"I'm Itadori Yuuji!"

"En. Fushiguro Megumi."

In the background, Nao was crying tears of joy.

Young Master finally made a friend!

Little Itadori Yuuji lead them to several 'awesome' places. The food stalls he showed them were inexpensive but the taste of the dishes were more than worth the price.

Megumi bought many for his Mama Hyou.

Little Itadori Yuuji also showed them a craftsman's shop. Although it was expensive in the eyes of commoner people, Megumi splurged all his allowance to buy something for his family.

Nao cried in pride again.

This was his little master!

So considerate!

A family man!

And then Itadori Yuuji showed them a crepe shop. He said that the crepes there were really good.

Megumi bought one each for the three of them.

"Wow, thanks, Fushiguro! You're really nice, you know?!"

"En."

Just as Megumi wanted, he made a friend. And although he was little too loveable, more than he expected, Itadori Yuuji passed his criteria.

Thus, he made Nao take a picture of them back at the park where they first met.

.

.

The meeting ended and the first thing Hyousuke did was to open the messages Nao sent.

The first message was to inform him of their whereabouts.

The second was how people treated Megumi.

The third was how Megumi asked where the park was.

The fourth had a lot of typos and it was about how Megumi wanted to make a friend.

Hyousuke almost cried.

The next following messages were photos of his son being dragged around by a little boy all over the neighborhood.

Hyousuke almost had a heart attack from joy.

The last picture was Megumi and his new friend posing for the camera.

Hyousuke fainted.
