Yet, the chip wasn't the only reason Lana was invited to the avengers compound. They were aware she possessed supernatural abilities.

"So, how'd you get these power thingys?" Tony questioned, while giving Lana a small tour of the building.

Lana blinked at the memory, she remembered her Wanda and Pietro, thinking these powers would help 'save the world'. She missed her old naive qualities. She knew too much now.

"Um, Hydra gave us individual abilities and then we trained. My training was especially harsh though." She mumbled the last part bitterly.

"Hm." Tony nodded. "Well this would be your room, if you choose to stay."

They had stopped at a long hallway, with multiple doors- all corresponding to their personalised rooms. When Lana walked into the room, she was shocked to see how large it was.

There was a king sized bed in the middle with a bright window, displaying the outside world. Empty dressers and drawers were pushed against the plain walls and an empty shelf sat in the corner. She could already envision what she would do to this room.

For a moment, she let herself have hope for this new life. She could help people with a community of people who didn't know her for the murderer Hydra created her to be. She could have family dinners and days out in the sun, or nights inside watching movies.

She placed some of her own belongings on the bed. Well she didn't actually have any real belongings- she had been given these when she arrived.

Yet she didn't want to show this emotion to the man standing behind her, in the doorway. So when she turned around with an emotionless face she only nodded.

Tony saw himself in the girl. He knew what it was to try to create a more confident and put together persona of yourself, in order to be taken seriously. To not be seen for what makes you "weak."

Yet, Tony also knew that to become like this, it takes someone telling you that these emotions are weak. For him it was his father, he hoped she wouldn't let these beliefs continue to haunt her subconscious as she grew older, as they did for him.

"Well, the rest of the crew should be back from their mission soon. This would be a good time to introduce yourself to them." He said collectedly.

Even though she would never admit it, Lana was slightly excited. She had been waiting for a chance of family. All she had ever had was her mother, and she wasn't much of a mother to her.

Tony and Lana walked together to the front room, coincidentally this is when the avengers had started to arrive. A large amount of people walked into the room, at the back was another girl.

That's when Lana's eyes widened like saucers, memories came back to her rapidly as her eyebrows furrowed at the sight.

"Wanda?"
