you're the one
you're all i've ever wanted
i think i'll regret this

Lana laid Wanda down in the bed, putting an empty bin next to her, and a glass of water in her hands.

She sat on the edge of her mattress, stroking her hair and wiping the dry tears on her cheeks. She knew how to take care of a drunk person, even if she didn't want to.

"Thank you, and I'm sorry. I feel like I've been saying that a lot lately." Wanda mumbled on her side, her cheek smooshed against the pillow.

"It's fine, I wanted to get out of that party anyway." Lana said casually, trying to make this seem like a less big deal than it really was.

"I meant what I said earlier." Wanda started.

Which part? The part where she said she loves her, that they were meant to be friends, or the part where she tried to kiss her?

"You really are beautiful Lana.." She whispered sleepily.

At that moment, Lana dismissed Wanda's early action as a daze of alcohol. Which made her more disappointed than she'd ever want to admit.

She took a deep breath before turning to leave, as Wanda was half asleep at the time.

But then she felt a memory playing in her mind.

Lana decided to sleep in her own room for a night. Her mother seemed to be doing alright and she was really tired.

Yet hours later she heard a loud crash coming from the room next to her own, immediately running in to see her mother on the floor rubbing her head.

Lana was so scared of her mom hurting herself, she felt as if she had a panic attack when she heard that crash.

She helped her back into bed, with shaky hands. Watching her for the rest of the night.

Lana sighed before sitting on a chair in Wanda's room. Watching over her for a while before falling asleep

The light slowly entered Wanda's vision, as she squinted at the harsh entry. She then saw Lana lay asleep in a chair not so far away from her. She barely remembered what happened that night, but she could tell she said a lot of things sober her would never want to see.

She got up slowly, making sure to not wake up the girl, they were both still wearing their dresses from last night, with makeup smudged around their faces.

Wanda went to the bathroom to wash her face and change, coming back in the room to see Lana awake, looking around the same way Wanda did a few moments ago.

"Put this on." Wanda said, throwing a pair of pyjama bottoms at Lana, she kept the shirt on she was wearing the night before.

Wanda sat back on her bed and they sat in an uncomfortable silence, not sure which one of them should speak first.

"Thank you, for staying with me last night." Wanda said quietly.

Lana only nodded at this until the silence returned.

This was when Lana took a deep breath and asked the question that had been on her mind.

"Do you remember anything you did last night?" Lana asked, mainly referring to the kiss.

"Not really, honestly anything I did just ignore it. I had just broken things off with Vision and I was a mess." Wanda replied, embarrassed. Before she felt like she would be able to tell Lana all this easily but now it just made them both uncomfortable.

Oh. Lana thought. This was about Vision. It had nothing to do with her entirely, instead it was just because Wanda was sad about breaking up with Vision.

Lana tried to hide her disappointment by changing the subject. "You should probably go downstairs and tell everyone you're okay. You were really drunk." She stated before leaving the room.
